That amount of cash will buy you a SIM-free and unlocked unit, of course.

I have LG G Flex 2 (which wasn't even a flagship phone for LG) and my friend's got Sammy S6. We've done it before. He can't get through the day without additional charge and I still am 20% left (we basically do similar things). And sound? Please. S6 doesn't even come close to LG's pure surround. And this year? With B&O mix up it'll be better again. Samsung focuses on screen and camera, it shines there, but it's not a perfect phone that you're trying to paint here. Unless you are a Sammy fanboy, then the argument is irrelevant.

Considering that the G4 costs about £240, £540 for the G5 is absolutely insane. The G4 will be competitive for at least another 6 months, so i really don't see how will buy the G5. Maybe the HTC fans because it looks like the G5 is what a properly done M9 could have been.

Lame pricing. The g4 was able to compete with the s6 on pricing at least. Since lg have lost that it really isn't worth it. What attachments do you get with this price?

Unless you're of the rare species which carries around a second battery with them, but if their battery is as lame as usual then you'll need an extra on to just be on par with the s7.

LG, be careful with your pricing. If you want to get bigger share of the market plus those dissatisfied Sammy customer, then your price with wireless charging option should be $100 less than Samsung. Not that your phone is inferior to Samsung but it is your chance to dominate and have as many customers hooked to LG like Iphone and Samsung.

Well, okay it's not the definitive price, but considering this one, of approx €683, I think it's a very good price for the flagship G5, considering that the standard S7/edge costs about €700/20/40 & €800/20/40 respectively. & in different ways, the G5 is at parallel level with the S7, plus LG invested a lot in it, with the full metal body, the modular innovation & the 3 cameras (16MP+8MP & front selfie 8MP ) etc. so considering all the specs, etc. It's a very competitive price!

I prefer the second to be honest, because I listen to the internet radio 10 hrs a day, so to me LG is a better choice. One thing I'm really weirded about...Samsung has got an Apple-like fanbase these days. And they are willing to bite everyone, that says their phone is not the best.

S7 may have better camera and the screen, but Samsung was always lacking in sound quality and battery department, where LG does much better. To me those 2 are more important features. Still waiting for Huawei P9 with it's Laica lens though. This'll be interesting if it'll happen.

This price is including vat. And it's not like without module nobody can use it. Only extra battery would do for me.

Then again, it's a launch price, and £540 is roughly 685€, so I guess it'll be 650€ for europe (since the £ prices always seem to be higher than the € prices) and that should make it also ~650$ since the euro-price is usually 1:1 converted to $.

I don't care about the modules
You can consider it as a phone with a removable battery
                                        No big deal
Even if modules were overly priced look at the lens offerings or battery cover offerings from any oem then compare
Modules are just extra not a necessity
