So far as I know, the CEO of the Xiaomi stated in public that Xiaomi would treat Indian market with the same level as the Chinese domestic market in terms of sales and after sales services.
Therefore, it seems to me that we should have good grounds to expect the official launch of the sales of mi5 very soon.

If you're in the Us it supports all bands and I mean ALL of them for gsm phone use, even the not widely used (because it's just being rolled out) band 12 from T-Mobile.
