AnonD-510317, 03 Mar 2016By companies you mean Apple who spend years and millions on... moreOr you can do even easier - check what camera, battery, chipset, screen, memory etc. Samsung had in their phones in 2010 and you will know hat Apple will have in their hardware department in 2017. User experience is different thing and each manufacturer has its own tricks... I cannot even use any other phone than Samsung because they dare to turn-off the screen while I am looking to them!!! HOW!!! That is because Samsung is the only one ho has "smart stay" which tracks you looking at it and keeps the screen on - how else can match that? Can apple do it? and this is 3 years old technology, still nobody matched it (maybe it is patented?).

What I am trying to day is not that apple user experience is bad, but that it is not more advanced than other major manufacturers, just uses different techniques (but they hardware definitely outdated).

There was reluctance from Major players, because it is Gimmick... furthermore while it makes tiny bit of sense on ios where the phones don't have dedicated keys for context actions, the android phones always had this functionality from very beginning, not sure what this feature should do in android - it would be even more gimmicky .

Only Nokia made technologies that are worth, and useful in to their products. Let's hope Nokia come back and show all manufacturers what means innovation, and useful smartphone.

I will surely choose the Edge screen functionality over the force touch. It has a lot more things and purpose to offer, and it so it makes much sense.

It maybe similar for those phones that you said who have force touch but if you really compare it, it totally has a huge difference. Look at what Apple's force touch can do than the phone before who alledgly has FT. Com'on kid makes sense. If you really have the phone right now that can do the same as iPhone force touch did you probably go locked up yourself for shame. Don't you?

Well if Samsung uses force touch, all the Apple fans are going to make a big drama that Apple innovated force touch and Samsung copied it , even though other companies has used this technology before Apple
But Apple innovated !!!! Like seriously ;)

Oh crap. Apple flies in china with their patent documents in 3... 2... 1...

Apple won't touch any of those chines manufactures but I dare say Samsung, LG, Sony are keeping away from it until they can safely put it on their devices without apple taking them to court.
