iPhone 4G put under microscope, 640x960px resolution confirmed?

Ok guys, people who have experience please tell which is more worth? Iphone 4G,SE X10,Samsung galaxy S,Nokia N8 or N900??? My recquirements are very good audio/video and good games+web browsing. Help me to decide

Either the 'rumor mill' has the size wrong (3.5") or there are some (minor) miscalculations. If 3.5" is correct it would give 330ppi, not 320ppi, and thus put the fruits in front (A whole 1% over Sharp).
(320ppi corresponds to 3.6")

i'll bet it won't last even 1 day because it has faster CPU than previous ones. i know how long they lasted (barely 2 days).

But that is nice indeed, and very close (5% off) to the current top.

Sharp has SEVERAL phones with slightly higher ppi

According this post: 1. iphone 4g 320 ppi. 2. moto droid 265 ppi. 3. nexus 252 ppi. 4. sony x10 245 ppi. 5. htc hd2 217 ppi. 6. iphone 3gs 160 ppi.

samsung screens are very good, and it has been proved in tests already, espacilly the amoled screens, that is the future I think. but now HTC is also doing amoled and nokia 2, so manufacturers are going to improve there screens to get better and more clear, but also to use less energy. sorry or my english

It's about t... moregood answer x1 have 330 pixel per inch but only x10 245 pixel per inch. something is wrong with sony ericsson. or you lie about x1 having 330 ppi. it would be x1 have 160 ppi i think. but i m sure about x10 having 245 ppi.

It's about the sharpness of the screen, and that is just about the amount pixels. So yes if it supports more colors you get a more fluent image and if you have a screen of 3,5 inch with 320x640 pixels and 16m colors from the Iphone 3GS, enjoy your Iphone while other people enjoy their quality screens of the X1 which only supports 65k colors but is way sharper and has a good image quality.

even if it has the most pixel dense screen it's still no match for amoled phones like n8, and nexus one and super amoled like s8500 wave and 19000 galaxy.. so goodbye iphone u sucks as ever! haha!

Sony Ericsson X1 has 311 ppi so it is still better than HTC HD2 and yes it is probably invisible for the human eye. It is only good to increase the pixel rate when the screensize increases.

You only need them for super-sized prints (A3, A2, A1 & A0), for 99,9% of people you don't need 12+ Megapixels, it's a waste of memory.
