Nokia N8 uses USB OTG, browses files off a USB drive and Nokia C5

31 May, 2010
USB On-The-Go is a relatively unknown feature on mobile phones despite its obvious advantages. Watch how some lucky dude connects a USB flash drive and a Nokia C5 to the N8 and plays a few tracks...

That makes the Nokia N8 (/Symbian^3) truly bear the name 'smartphone'.
Good job, Nokia! :D Keep going!

the numerous posts about apple stuff, OS etc (in this nokia topic!),is the best proof that the N8 is enough interesting to be consider as a rival !
and That's quite understandable cause :
Yes Iphone has good stuff like his OS, his design , maybe the appstore .
but this nokia has plenty of very intersestiong features : 12mp camera a brand new OS ( we don't know how much it's gonna be "user friendly" )USB-otg ,HDMI out ,free gps soft, etc ... and in my point of view its design is deffinitively great! finaly it'll be quite cheap at the launch !
So iphone or not ? whatever your choice is , it's hard to say that the N8 is not an interesting phone !!

If you have watched the nokia n8 overview video

you will see that the side buttons found in email are toooooooooooooo big, i wonder if the guys at nokia have big thumb.

The option and back menu bar can be replace by icons to make it attractive an save some screen real estate. They can put these bigggg sides button in there

the sms threaed view graphics design is not as attractive other os

in short, the graphics designers at nokia are xxxxxxxx%&&%?&?%??&

I wonder what people would say about this phone if Nokia didn't purchase the Samsung AMOLED screen.

I mean it's decent. but the Flash Technology comes from Samsung.
                        So does the Display.

What other manufacturer provides that kind of hardware at that kind of price? None.

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2010big deal windows phones had this for 10yearsExactly, Nokia is doing what iPhone does:
Take a current technology, put it in their devices and advertise it (though Nokia's advertising hasn't been that extreme like Apple's). This makes the general person think it is something new and innovative, like the videocamera on the iPhone.
