What a suprise (not)
S7 is a good phone, G5 is a good phone.
But sadly, GSMArena is too much Samsung... This poll makes no sense, it is just like making a poll Apple VS Samsung on an Apple site, offcourse Apple would win on an Apple site.
Same here, LG VS Samsung, Samsung always wins on GSMArena.
Good tip GSMArena, stop making polls with Samsung phones, we already know it will win for sure...

People voted for it because it was different, not because it was better. Just because it introduced 'modular' (barely), people think its a huge improvement, without even thinking about what little value the modules have or how inconvenient they are.
I'm sorry but the g5 is just a gimmick phone. It has a gimmick feature with little value as its USP.

where is the wireless charging LG. Did you deliberately omitted this function or you have a module for that. This function should come out of the box otherwise Sammy wins again

if you notice one thing, is that sammy fan boys are slowly turning into what isheeps used to be. they can never tolerate anything against their beloved brand, always bragging about how premium it is, how perfect it is, still nothing unusual as samsung always copies what fruit company does. even in gsmarena's words i can see how biased they are when they talk about s7/ s7e. good luck samsung

Midranger look? Thank you for your opinion, IMO I like its looks.
Once again regarding the modular design, it's your opinion, IMO it is amazing.

No surprised here...LG fans or Samsung hater from other company would just blindly vote for that LG LG5 even it just a midranger look with those bezel but unfortunately still didn't won though. LG just put too much gimmick like what you called modular? eww! pathetic! they even call it innovation? waaaat??? modular is just an old school feature. as a user of a removable battery smartphones I literally never bought a spare battery accesories for my phones just to extend my usage sake! ok I have extra battery through my smartphones that has removable back years ago and what annoys me is you need to bought a universal charger just to charge your extra battery, what if you don't have universal charger? you allways need to fully charge your extra bat. using your device itself? pathetic! so removable battery smartphones are just pointless imo... LG just advertised it too much! furthermore, LG G5 is the most ugliest phone I ever seen! they also been up the metalic body of it? metalic phones isn't really big deal now considering that even some chinese phones now has it. although it enhance the build quality of things that covered of it. LG G5 isn't really an upgrade with free old school gimmicks to fool people that it was new thing though it was really not.
PS: I'm not going to comment about Samsung... I'm not their fan although they impressed me this time.

Lg G5 is the new flagship while s7 is the same as last year except a few upgrades i like design of s7 better g5 looks bit ugly but has removable battery just hope lg release great modules for the G5

Samsung has the market leadership after nokia's fall so it was bound to win this poll but samsungs market share has shrunk nd other OEMs are growing including LG in the smartphones market. If Samsung keeps on innovating like it did with the s3 it mite be able to keep its share

The nature of the s7 edge's looks have not been questioned by anyone, no not even the apple paid media, they praise it too, even if you don't like it , or won'þ buy it, its class is without contradiction,but that lg.
You'd have to have a grudge against yourself to be seen holding that, especialy with those two big open boils on the back.Shoud've gone to specsavers.
Still all credit due to the lg pr team getting it that 40 some percent, they must have been voting all weekend as hard as apple's do to keep the 6s up in the weekly charts.

The s6 is very different from the earlier models, and the s7 improved it even more.
The G4 looked good in leather, but the G5 is super ugly.. looks aren't everything though, and it's still a nice phone, but the samsung is slightly better this year all around. (in my opinion.. obviously)

this modular design is not what I would like. I would like to unscrew my phone easily, and just swap parts just like in PC. I don't want to change my whole phone every year. But only add ram, more storage, and most important - latest soc. Sad.
