From the latest teaser images of the upcoming M10, it sadly looks like an uninteresting slab with nothing to distinguish it from the crowd. The One M7 was a show stopper, beautiful in design. This one, if the image is to be believed ( it looks as if it might be the real thing), is sad, tired and completely standard. Come on HTC you can do better than that. Even if you are not designing pull out screens, bendy bits or curvaceous lines you could still produce something better than this. From the off, as XDA's there was always the design. What is this glass front on an aluminium back piece supposed to be apart from boring? Unless you can do better than this, a whole world of buyers will, however loyal to your brand to date, go elsewhere. Many people will not concern themselves with how good the "insides" might be, frankly all the major manufacturers produce something very similar. It is the "outsides " which attract...ever heard of Love at First Sight? We want you to be a success, that includes selling loads of phones. You won't succeed with a rounded corner rectangle with chamfered edges with the latest Android OS on board, even if it is water resistant. You have time before the launch, use it and produce a design that people will want to show off and in that way increase sales.

The One M10 will reportedly have a "very compelling" camera, three storage options (16, 32, and 64GB), a 5.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen, the Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB of RAM, a fingerprint scanner, as well as Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board.
and just ONE mono speaker !!!
LOL !!!!

I agree. I had an HTC One M7 as well.
It was overheating under normal tasks with 4G and my purple halo quickly developed into purple curtain. The camera also stopped AFing at some point. Battey life dropped to 1/2 day very fast and the phone was unusable by today's standards. And yes, I had gaps at the top and at the bottom right from the day 1. The lack of microSD card turned out to be quite disturbing. The only positive part was a high quality screen with perfect viewing angles and good sound quality in headphones.
Overall, the warranty support from HTC was horrible and I won't buy another HTC phone anytime soon. Couldn't care less about what they're obsessed today.

And when it began to exhibit the well known purple fringe, I upgraded to a Note 3 and not M8. Why? Because M8 had the same issue with the camera as M7 and had the same horrible camera, that couldn't outperform my wife's S4 in low light, and i'm not even talking about good lighting.
Then M9 came along, which also had a horrid 20mp camera, that was outperformed by everything on the market.
So I really hope M10 fixes that problem.
PS. I'm not even trying to bring up other issues, like a sim-card connection issue, or a poorly attached usb port.

I was ok, dealing with 4mp, until it began to exhibit the infamous purple halo. Called HTC, phone is out of warranty, so I upgraded to a Galaxy Note 3. Other than that, I loved the phone.
Looking forward to what M10 has to offer. This time around it's M10 or G5. The glass back of S7 is a really big minus in my book.

AnonD-476428, 02 Mar 2016Powerof10 = downgrade front STEREO speakers to MONO speak... moreYou're just coming to every single of htc's article and giving bad opinion about them.
Don't worry, you're not alone, there are millions of htc's haters like you.
Once you try their product, I'm pretty sure that you'll be regretting for what you've done so far.

Hopefully they'll keep working at it until they have worked out how to keep the stereo front facing speakers. If it has to be a little longer...great, use the length for a bigger battery, That and the new lower power consumption chip should get the job done. Good audio for headphones or Bluetooth speakers. Looking forward to a solid new phone...

i hope it's going to be something really good. i'm not a big fan of htc but their handsets, especially the earlier ones, have always been of high quality. this seems to be their saving grace and it'd be a real shame if they don't redeem themselves with it.

I'm a very happy HTC (M7) user. What bothers me is the battery, which lasts for around 24h as most smartphone models today. Good battery and availability are the key words for me.

Smsm, 03 Mar 2016Same with me, i had some phones before Iphone, samsung, lg,... moreIt's sweet when people (who may have never ever used an HTC device even for once in their whole life) come out bashing and criticizing a product that hasn't even been released. My first Android was an HTC and ever since then except for Galaxy S2 in between have I ever switched out of HTC. HTC Desire A1818, HTC One M7 and now HTC One M8. They are all unique by their own standards. M9, in my opinion, only failed because of the SD 810 it came with. Design wise too, I didn't quite like it. But that phone still was in the competition. All the HTC phones I owned, have lived beyond my expectations. M10 will not be any different (compared to it's predecessors) and I'm sure this time HTC will come out with flying colors.

I honestly hope that the HTC One M10 will be an amazing excellent flagship!? To such an extent to compete at parallel level with the S7 & G5, or maybe even slightly better! ? Because it will be beneficial to all latest & best in mobile technology, and so of beneficial for everyone of us, consumers, etc. And now with the new emerging Chinese brands almost unknown, but that they are doing really an excellent job, such as Vivo (Xplay 5 elite ) Zopo (Speed 8) LeTV & so on. (In other words, its a great news, the future looks really brighter than ever before, for mobile and general technology, and so for everyone of us, consumers )
