        If you guys read closer this is actually a dual-core processor and obviously multi-core processors are made to optimize multi-tasking. This is just the direction our mobile technology is headed and both software and hardware should follow.

        Some people might argue that multi-tasking is not needed on a mobile device. However, if you look at android devices, multi-tasking operates beautifully. Your data automatically syncs while you are browsing the internet, listening to music, then open another application, maybe type an sms. Even the next iPhone OS will support multitasking.

        Mobility is no longer just limited to calling or texting. Everything is headed towards the internet, and data will be always within our reach whenever we need it. Sooner or later, mobile e-commerce, maybe even mobile e-learning will dominate and everything can be accomplished seamlessly if the hardware side, not only the software side is optimized for this purpose.

Smartphones with this chipset Will be more advanced than some laptop's of 2-3 years ago, my idea of a smartphone with this chipset would be ;
              GSM,3G & 4G, 20mbps HSDPA,32 GB, 9.9 inch thin with a 4.0in Capacitive Super Amoled screen, 1.2 Ghz Dual core Snapdragon = equals superslick true multitasking, built in GPU with Full HD 1080p recording and playback, possibly trough the built in HDMİ port, 12 megapixel camera with multifocus, GPS .... etc ,Cant wait for it !!

                This is in reply to some i....ts comparing a phone to à dedicated Gaming Device (psp, dsi) No matter how good or advanced your phone is, it Will never be as comfortable 2 use or give the same user experience as an actual gaming handheld . Period !!!

                    shehroz, 02 Jun 2010Wake up People! phones were built for calling and texting b... moreWell for you was left in 1999, yes phones are for texting and calling. But we, people who are living in a contemporary times loves the technology in our hands. Before you have to go to the nearest internet cafe to check your e-mails but now you can do all that in your mobile device.

                    I appreciate my smartphone a lot when I went in a vacation in our house outside the city and I didn't bring my laptop with me, I was able to surf, check emails, watch youtube and did a lot of things in my phone. I can even connect my phone to our TV set to watch all the TV series I've saved in it for my long weekend vacation... Ahhh the power of technology...

                      Qt with cross platform apps
                      no one can do it plus it still supporting maemo so since most users have their devices overclocked you can push the device since it's only using openGL 1.0-1.5.since it has 2.0 and both n900 an n8 have openGL 2.0,hardware accelerators,3.5 in screens with 100% open platforms

                          Im actually an android user but im also a game designer who works for a mobile gaming developer working with the iphone, and like it or not it is the leader in mobile device gaming, and while one or 2 psp games with insane budgets manage to push the psp pretty hard in general it is falling short compared to mobile devices in the current market.

                          And as my house and every other house ive known to do when we were asked to develop exclusively for symbian, we laughed in their face.

                                  @ Mikey

                                  the phones today, their primary tastks ... they became almost additional function ;) their primary intention is now interaction with the world and not just with one other person that u call or txt to. You have to be in comunications with 10's and 100's of ppl at the same time. And that is why you need super speeds and multifunctional phone.

                                        Here goes the iphone fanboys again..

                                        Listen here you stubborn fanboys, if you want to even start comparing iphone with actual gaming consoles, you are seriously too much.

                                        Look, the PSP is only 333MHZ with 64MB RAM. Yet it runs Gran Turismo Portable at 60FPS with graphics way better than any iphone game I played before. It shows that hardware is not everything. And, touchscreen can never be better than buttons in gaming. =)

                                        Its obvious one of the first to grab this Snapdragon processor will be phones that use WinMo and Android. Its just a matter of time for the iphone to follow suit. So don't go on and talk bull about the basic functionality about the iphone being better than, lets say, a Symbian phone. If you want to say that might as well compare it to a Nokia 3310?
