regs, 03 Mar 2016There are few modes - adaptive, photo, movie and standard. ... moreWhere is your proof? Star providing some, because you talking c***. All possible review sites including very technical ones have listed S6 and Note5 screens as the "best ever smartphone screens".. and everyday they just getting better.
There might be some defective phones.. even if it is 1000s.. they wont make more than 0.0001%. That is because Samsung makes 380million phones a year (0.0001% would be 38000). I am sure that margin of defective Samsung phone are one of the lowest from all manufacturers, especially in display department(cannot say same about batteries - I did have some issues with S3 and S4, Note3).
As well how can you prove devices from you links were not damaged, dropped, wet etc... So in the end that might not even be defective phone.

it looks weird even in the most natural mode, there is this weird tint to it, the more natural the mode is the weirder it gets.
maybe Super AMOLED is not meant to be not over saturated.

AnonD-111717, 03 Mar 2016OLED on the Apple Watch is not that over saturated though.Neither is Samsung's. You can change the display into a few different modes, one being basic mode, which gives you the most accurate colours on any smartphone display.

Anonymous, 03 Mar 2016Probably because it made by apple and it not oled, its reti... more"Retina" is Apple's marketing term for a resolution high enough that someone with a 20/20 vision can't distinguish the individual dots at regular viewing distance. So every flagship Samsung phone has had a "retina" AMOLED since the Galaxy S3.
People tend to associate AMOLED displays with Samsung's over-saturated calibration, but that's not a inherent characteristic of the technology. Nokia's AMOLED displays have much better calibration, and even Samsung's newer displays are much better. Apple doesn't have a new technology for their watch, they simply use the same displays as everybody else and calibrate them in the same way everybody has been calibrating them over the past few years.
