Too bad it's tethered to ATT in USA!
TMo's 3G in USA is proprietary and not compatible with ATT or the Rest of the world's GSM network frequencies! This proprietary 3G network KILLED TMo USA's chances of getting the iPhone!
Phone looks good and would probably get one but really "dislike" ATT USA due to bad reception in major cities and lousy customer service!
Apple would make MORE money by UNLOCKING the phone but... it now uses the new Micro-SIM card which is currently used in ATT USA!!! DAMN IT!!

With the subscription the price will most likely end up on 700-800 dollars in total, and maybe more.

To all Nokia n8 freaks,guys i understand why you hate Apple,because nokia is not bad cell at all but i phone 4g is must have device and having it for $199 instead paying who knows how much for n8,no brainer

i believe this is a great all-arounder device, but i don't think apple will sell it without a contract for less than 1200-1500$, and if u take a close check the major improvement over 3Gs is the 4-times resolution, as the cpu is the same but only over-clocked (ipad was dissasimilated just after release and they found the processor the same on 3Gs only over-clocked to 1ghz) and with Hd cam recording, but if somebody could do the trick and over clock the 3Gs's cpu to 1ghz it would be even faster than this duo to lower scren resolution,, video-calls were fun at begin i still have them for free on 3 but i never used them for years, and still no flash support,,

Its really historical day! Apple brings something like magic..! video calling.. introduced by others many years ago except this fruit company.. BUT apple has something more to offer in this department.. something really historical..!
its a iPhone to iPhone video calling over wi-fi (ya, over wi-fi only n allowed between two iSheets only)

ROLF! now can anyone tell me how this phone will compete against already grown compelition? Bluetooth functionality is still restricted.. wtf? people now undertand whats restricted licenced burden stuff is and whats wide open sourced is. N8 surprice us at the same departments iphone disappoints. Nokia just need to set symbian right and to push meego extensively. Hopefully they are heading in right direction.

As to the Battery life. If the new iphone is so thin, I am worried! What battery is in this beast??
And no camera phone can match a standalone digital camera. They are no contest against my Olympus. But this new model makes photos on the fly much better.
It's such a shame that the advancemant of Mobile tech is hindered by modern batteries.

Guys I have used really High end phones, i am a tech geek, i always thought that i phones are over marketed and priced for the feature it has, but after using high end phones HTC, samsung and nokia, I came to conclusion that actually I phones are one of the best phones, really I am not a apple fan boy or any bias things, just a normal person who have tested and used different phones.
I think the new phone is at least a complete phone and I can bet the 5mp camera with (30fps 720p) on the new phone will beat most of the 8 mp camera phone in the market, + it has 1 ghz A4 with SGX graphics GPU, this combination is a high end mobile computing, I dont know about the screen coz it looks a high end screen but cannot comment untill I see and compare with other phones but if its better than 3gs I think its gonna be really good.+ there is that big App Store which is actually one of the best
Haha I know apple market there product showing themselves they have an amazing thing, thats actully very funny, but really I think this phone in most part very powerful and complete phone coz what it does it does excellent, just a normal opinion, I am definately gonna buy one.

iPhone 4 has a nice design but still prefer Samsung Wave. You can see the specs for yourself on gsmarena. We’ll see if the HD video recording on the iPhone 4 will be even as good as the Wave’s. Unfortunately it can’t play Xvid or DivX right out of the box. Finally, just can’t beat the price of the Wave. :)

I think Apple have done enough here. Despite the video calling failure (which will have to be addressed with future updates) this phone will sell sell sell. Apple Hype dictates this to be so.
As for the N8. A great phone on paper. But the new Symbian is yet to be really tested. If anything is going to tear iphone owners at the time from their device, it is still Android.
Nokia, forget Windows, and go for Android!
