Nokia marketing team is so bad , just look at the n8 overview youtube video, very boring prentation skill that apple will never adapt
the n8 design is good but the the software graphics, icons, theme are just eye sore out of the box, even if we chnage the themand icons, it can completely change the whole system icons, very bad, very unprofessional
nokia website need refresh and new look
nokia need good marketing team
nokia need to hire some graphic designers
nokia need to collect symbian ui concept from the public

I'm no iFan. But I still think these pictures are amazing. Apple nailed it with the backlit sensor. The stupid pixel race is useless. I want a camera that delivers good images. I could care less how many mp it is.
This 5MP is a solid shooter. Now I want optical zoom!

It is not nearly creating the buzz the Iphone has created in other iterations, and rightfully so.
Retina display? Because of a resolution. Come on.
Video calling? First? Wifi?
The multitasking is horrendous compared to WebOS, Maemo or even S^3.
Honestly, I found it boring.

Nokia phones only look good in paper, but does not provide the awesome user experience that the iphone offers. No wonder Iphone outsold the n96, n97 and the n900. Nokia has been left behind in the high end smartphone category. All it has left are its mid to low end phones, lol.
Data plan is essential for a smartphone. Can your nokia device update stock market info, news, email, facebook, weather, traffic, without a data plan? Lol.
Who's your boss? Why should his preferences matter to us? Lol.

But I feel I must say another word: a smartphone is a phone with full multitasking and connectivity. And yes, it also means Bluetooth for file transfer and connection. I don't think there are many here that would deny that Apple spurred the mobile industry with its iPhone 2G. What many here are shaking their heads at is this though: it's been years since the 2G came out. You'd expect Apple to be on par with other brands now. The fact is: it isn't any longer even close. All 3 models following the 2G leave a lot to be desired. And they certainly don't deserve any hype.

It's because it has a single brain "core unit" processor. Which in hardware and software terms means that it cannot multitask to save it's own life. Multitasking capibility is the same reason why computers soften slowdown.
That's what you have to sacrifice to have a true smartphone, it looses speed but gains multipower like a computer. If you take away multitasking from Android, Symbian, Maemo and Winmo they will be superfast. But that's something professionals are not ready to sacrifice. Backgrounding is not multitasking, it's backgrounding, it's not even on the same planet.

Photos look heavily manipulated with Photoshop. Also, EXIF data does not exist. Pretty lame PR display on Apple's part.
Closed platform does not promote popularity among developers. Android on the other hand getting more and more popular. Apple has 15% of smartphones market, Android 10% and growing really fast.
Will see where it all goes. Meanwhile I am not buying iPhone, never owned one. HTC Desire works better for me since being a developer I am not diabetic from Apple Kool-Aid.
BTW, these poor chinise are still dying at sweatshop making money for Jobs who is trying to control his Kool-Aid zombo-herd.

An iPhone does a whole lot without a data plan, so when you say zero you lose all credibility. I think you must mean a Blackberry. That is a phone that becomes very average without a data plan.
Here is a simple fact that I overlooked when the first iphone came out (which even I bought): the iPhone made smartphones mainstream. How did they manage this? By doing something Nokia arguably still cannot - Make a stable smartphone. The N series phones were plagues with complaints of crashing and freezing. Apple managed to make an OS that was rock solid on its first attempt. It made WinMo and Symbian look really crappy.
And who knows what a smartphone really is nowadays. It used to mean business phone. All phones have an OS of sorts. Many phones can have programs installed on them, if only Java and software updates.

Foxconn is the cheapest factory in all of China. You can bet on it they are making at least half of the £450 you paid in profit. Such a shame that in this day and age there are still people people that aren't smart to realize that big business will make money off simpletons.

Tell which Nokia you wanna put up against iPhone head to head... Any Nokia N or E series will take on the iPhone head to head.. What do you want to compare? Call quality? Camera? Battery Life? Connection Relibility? Dropped calls? Data speed? Smart intelligent communication with any digital hardware amd office eqipment via bluetooth anywhere you go? Synch mail, software, file, mediatransfer and update from any computer, any terminal anywhere via usb or bluetooth? Flexibility? Connection ports HDMI (on new ones) usb port? Navigation? Pay for any kinda tickets, merchandize or fare with Nokia Bluetooth scanner from your sim (at least here in Sweden) etc etc...
You guys don't even know what a smartphone is.. Go play with you little Apptoy that need a dataplan for exactly everything you need to do where every app is just an extended arm for webbased bookmarks.. nothing else.. Nokia smartphones can do 100 things without a dataplan, iPhone can do zero.
Like my boss said last year about the iPhone and why he refused to make it a company phone, "i'm not carrying around a so called smartphone that every third grade kid in my daughters middle school has, that's just emberassing"..

SonyEricsson is for me the best company of Cellular phones actually (I'm a Philips Fan but not in Europe anymore and built by CEC China in Asia). But SE failed to announce a new high-end product like Satio or Vivaz. X10 has few bad points (no radio, old Androïd and so late update). Yes, Samsung (but no support) and Nokia (great N8) are good too.
But really, iPHHHHHHHone (!) is easy to use (not the shit iTunes) and very good now with arrival of Flash for photo.
I can't believe the success of iPhone is ONLY fashion....
I don't like Mac or Apple but now it's time to realise iPhone is a great product even if other devices are really good too !!!

3.2mp cannot out perform a 5mp and a 5mp can't do the same to 8mp,10,12 since the lens so there is no way a 5mp camera picture can look better then an 8,10 or 12 that's crap talk from apple indeed
