looking at p9 max price, I agree with it. The mate 8 should have been cheaper than this (overpriced imo).

But again, 3000mah for that screen... back to the drawing board. there is no reason it could not match the mate 8's battery... a deal breaker...

Clearly this is a ripoff for the uninformed masses, everything else is hype & background noise!

SDKforLumia, 16 Mar 2016Am I the only one who is really happy Huawei kept the P9 di... moreActually P 9 light could be best seller if they make a good deal with networks curries.
This chipset is one of best buy for that money (in western part of the world, in China and india you can find SD820 devices for similar prices), but i do agree they should make it with 32 or 64GB (did not notice does it support SD cards!?).
What i am waiting is that other manufacturers start to use fast memory, as Samsung and Xiaomi do.
But it seems like i am not with same taste as mpst of today's shoppers, i do not like phablets, my maximum is 5 inch (5'2 with super small basel),3GB of RAM is more than enough, more then 16GB of storage is must have, as waterproofness and good battery (at least 7-8h of SoT and 2 days of ussage).
So, i still cant find perfect phone for myself. S7 edge would be closest, but still it's too big.
Will wait for smaller version, and knowing Sammy, they will make it :)

If you're wrote same comment on some news about Xiaomi, Doogee, One+...you would have a point, but even if you never heard for them before, you could see in this text that Huawei had developed their own SoC, as they are using a lot of their original parts... and with just a little research on net, you would see that they are one of biggest network developers...only thing that separate them from Samsung (f.e.) is the do not invest that much money in marketing, so obviously that is a reason you are not well informed.

I have a 5.5 inch screen with full HD and I have to look really, really close to differentiate the pixels from each other. Higher resolution only hurts the battery. Sure...handy when you mirror your phone on a big TV, but let's be honest...how many of us actually do that?

The display memory rumor is very, very similar to what Microsoft does with their Lumias for Glance Screen. That's why the Nokia Lumia 930 didn't support Glance Screen, because Nokia was silly and didn't add enough display memory.

granted manufacturers are trying to improve other aspects of the camera but having a higher resolution never hurts.
