Well if you're into games I would say Snapdragon is the shirt ! But if you're into music definitely Exynos. For browsing speed, and application use Exynos is quite fast. On the other hand would say multi tusking is better with Snapdragon. Even the exynos has more cores in its chipset configuration but the truth is 2 out of its 4 M1 cores hardly gets to any working.

Simon says , 20 Oct 2016Is music output better on exynos. I heard it is but just wa... moreOmg definitely. Even my note 2 completely stock since it uses exynos with Wolfson audio dac sounds better and cleaner than my s7 edge. And the s7 edge is using viper.
The note 5 with exynos and woflson really sounded better. And the note 2 with volume boost and viper was way ahead.

This is an area where qualcomm really needs to step up.

However for most its adequet. I use higher quality buds though and listen to a singer who has a dramatically powerful belt in a very high range belting up to 100+ decibels. And sings for metal....
Qualcomm dac and regular headphones do not cut it

It's not that 8 cores ever run at the same time.... do you research, only 4 cores run at one given time, higher end for high intensity stuff... and the lower end for most typical usage, in order to conserve battery life.... watch real time speed test (the one where they put the two devices head to head and do 2 laps of opening apps) Exynos is by far more efficient in every way there, as well the battery ratings for the Exynos chip beats the snapdragon 820. I'm very happy I have the Exynos version in my phone for all the right reasons, also snapdragon heats up more then the Exynos.. WIN WIN WIN

AnonD-424205, 18 Mar 2016This is because most games are not optimized to use all cores! There's no evidence that android games makes use of all cores infact no android apps at the time of writing is coded to take advantage of all 8 cores. Most apps don't even need it. Even the latest android games runs fine on a quadcore, provided its backed up with good gpu. What matters is the right pick of cpu architecture. Meanwhile, Exynos is made up of older arm cortex based on the a53 architecture coupled with Samsung's m1 cores. So it's a tough pick which one is truly better. But just to be on the safer side and due to the fact that snapdragon 820 has a reputable performance and battery efficient, I'd go with snapdragon variant.
