Get CPU stats to see real time CPU performances. 2 out of the 4 M1 cores are always on sleep. Even when you open games, only 2 x M1 are on & they can reach 2.5-2.6ghz. If you open lot of games or you do benmarking (antutu or geekbench), at a time you can see all 4 are on & clocking 2.3 ghZ.

No competition.

It does burn pixels after two years guaranteed, and don't make me start about the majority who doesn't have a clue about what they're holding.
The screen on the Z5 is great, without underexposing dark areas.. like amoled screens do. Contrast? Well high contrast is not realistic for sure. Look in real life with your eyes and tell me where do you see 100% black areas, nowhere. So the fact that amoled screens turn off the pixels when black colour strikes is not realistic. You lose details in underexposed areas, so there.

Get your senses together samsung screens are NOT realistic looking and their type is sensitive to burned in pixels after a year or two. Z5 has a better screen accuracy, and it doesn't underexpose dark areas like the oversaturated cartoonish amoled displays.

Well amoled displays are oversaturated, and will get burned in pixels after a year or so as well, complete disaster. Something that won't happen with lcd displays, period. So tell me again which display is better, and for how long..
2k is necessary? To you maybe but keep in mind that numbers aren't everything, and that you can hardly tell the difference between 1080p and 2k on a 5inch screen.
2k drains unnecessary battery, that's the fact here.

If they had a exynos phone that was outperforming their qualcom phone people would only want the exynos version

The only reason Samsung will spend extra for the sd820 is for the extra benefit that they derive from it. Especially in the north America market. We can argue all we want about exynos being better, however in the end, money talks, and its saying that sd820 is the king.

it's better to make it clear about the SD 820 vs Exynos 8890:
                                - Adreno are always boosted, the perform like a beast at first then performance lowers a bit. It's been like this from the very start. You accept it or not, SD causes heat problems. They're performant, yes but it causes heat & may affect speed & consume lot of battery.
                                - Exynos is not overclocked, they perform steadily, they're better than SD in terms of speed, energy consumption. About the M1 in 8890, the 4 of them are clocked at 2.6ghZ. But only 2 of them are on at a time. If more than 2 are used, they'clock at 2.3 ghz, extreme cases.
                                - About cores, single core --> SD is bit better indeed, kryo cores perform really well. But most of apps & games are becoming multi threaded -> so the Exynos will perform better in long term for these.
Well, you have SD 820 or Exynos 8890 doesn't matter. Both are great & will perform really well.

This is where people think their $35 android phone is as great as a $350 one....

Generally you get what you pay for, be it in terms of optimisations, or maybe added sensors.
I write this on a screen with some crazy tech in it. (It can halve the refresh rate of the monitor to conserve battery life) This tech costs money to implement (and it isn't just a software trick)...

So flagship phones with a tonne of extra sensors and abilities, benching the same for processor speed..? I don't personally care. For my needs most phones have a CPU that is fast enough. But user experience...?perhaps the OS is slow and unresponsive, or the build quality is cheap, or the screen hard to see in daylight (headphone output lacking/no scratchproof glass etc etc etc)

Comparing speed is hardly the be all and end all, and any modern high end processor is probably (heat and throttling issues aside) going to meet end users need.

looking at benchmark. yeah s820 looks very promising compare to to exynos. but in reality its different. just look at this video -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mI7jkyRwa8A.
exynos is way faster in real life performance. Why? s820 has a boost clock speed for a minute or so and after that, the performance will drop. this will give them an advantage to benchmark scores. i guess it's also reduce overheat and throttle overtime which happens to s810 a lot.
Conclusion - exynos is still the king of SOC.

It is down clocked due to the thermal limitations besides max clock of sd820 kryo cores is 2.15ghz unlike 2.3ghz and 2.6ghz for mongoose cores but still sd820 edges exynos8890. I dont think adreno530 was overclocked because we can decide it by ourselves by doing benchmarks
