What if its the SD810? Thats a 2GHz octa core, though given LG's history with the thing. Ahem ahem LG G Flex 2, I doubt they'd pick it again.

Lex79, 19 Mar 2016The deal was done and signed before the availability of the... moreWell if it is s625 , i will run at 100% load for most of the time so even tho it is 14nm it will eat more battery .
s652 is twice as powerful as s625 .

AnonD-482637, 19 Mar 2016Why not SD 625 (14nm) for battery efficiency ? :(because that processor cannot handle 2K screen as well as 652

ray, 19 Mar 2016why heck in the world we need a SD654 variant phone when we... moreLike others say. Some people just don't care what's inside of their phones. They just wanna use it. But other than that? Better power efficiency. SD820 is an improvement of what SD810 was, but nevertheless it's still a power hungry beast. Though, in my opinion, I think LG could drop the screen res to 1080p on this one.

ray, 19 Mar 2016why heck in the world we need a SD654 variant phone when we... moreBecause it would be cheaper and 90% of people actually dont care and dont know with chipset they have n their phone?
Maybe its something new for some of you, but most of phone users have no idea what root is, with chipset they have inside, they dont even know what res their screen have.
All its matter for most of users if phone have FB, whatsapp if its look good and if it have camera.
Just because we sit here on tech site it doesnt mean that rest of people care about all that details. Most of people really just use their phones and dont care about rest.

AnonD-482637, 19 Mar 2016Why not SD 625 (14nm) for battery efficiency ? :(The deal was done and signed before the availability of the 625 would be my guess????
But would rather the 652 anyway, running a qhd screen on nothing more than A53 cores is going to be problematic, and the 506 is going to be a good deal weaker than the 510.
Still feel sorry for those getting the 652 version mind, not that they will see much if any difference in terms of cpu performance, but graphics output will take a substantial hit versus the 820.
And yes the 28nm will likely affect the battery performance.
