Here in Romania, it's same price to iphone 6s or galaxy s7 (at launch). So, there is no surprise, a top phone with top price (although it's questionable if it's is better than samsung or iphone).

No Android phone is worth more than 200 euros. Anything above that price is non-justifiable.
It's not like it's running some premium quality operating system like iOS or Windows; it's just mere Android.

I Also HTC desire S it is a good phone though I experienced restarting issue after few days of use, every time i get a call. That may be due to heating up of phone. This happened to one of my friend even and i think this is a problem of HTC for long time. Though I wrote to HTC on this didn't get a clear answer for that

HTCs do not get sluggish like most androids. My 4 year old Desire S still runs its OS without a lag, and my One M8 runs as slick as it ran on day 1.
Ignorance may be bliss for you. But to others it seems strikingly stupid !

In Romania everyone regardless of the standard of living has at least one flagship family. Usually everyone has the latest model iPhone.
In first place are phones and cars, then the rest. =))

I live in Romania. This price does not have to do with HTC's pricing policies.
This retailer just try to exploit pseudo needs of inocent people.
This retailer often sold phones which never had been oficialy launched in our country.
This is my personal opinion.

You're sure they'll be able to afford this phone in a country like Romania...?! This 750 Euro price tag should have been for countries like England, Germany and maybe Scandinavia... The rest of the EU isn't really rich enough to afford such premium prices...

I had HTC desireS before and I really liked the phone until I dropped it to sea.
Ive been following HTC:s flagship development for a while now because I am interested to change my phone and I must say that im afraid the company´s mistakes will only lead them to go deeper down.
First big mistake seems to be with the really uninspiring Iphone-copying design and a lack of integration in their desing which make this phone to look almost unrecognizable (maybe because of theyve already lost two head designers). Another very big mistake is the pricing (which was my fear too) and now the third one seems to be that they only provide 16/128gb memory versions (just reminds me of one another company who does the same to raise prices). They have also seem to have ditched the boom sound front facing-grilles that were iconic to HTC aswell as there seems not to be an HTC logo. Now ive would like to ask from the direction of this taiwanese company: what are you just trying to do? Im not very convinced with their directinb skills. And thats a shame. This brand have impressive past... but so did Nokia.
Anyway the choices of HTC will make them lose another potential customer and the only hope left is to wait for their Nexus-models in the future.

I live in Romania. This is a grey market site, not official retailers. They bring a number of htc m10 faster than the official stores because they do not wait for omologation loke official channels. And they use this advantage one month to sell overpriced until official stores bring this model always cheaper

Dont know why the phones are so expensive in Romania?! In Macedonia (with 18% VAT) the prices are:
One m9-389€
SGS6 -419€
S6edge -489€ and
S7 at 599€
So I expect similar pricing for the m10,altough often HTC has higher asking price which falls sharply after some time

Wow that is a lot of money for a flagship of a flailing company.they should have priced it at 499/549/649 like a nexus.They are not in a position to accommodate anymore failures.Considering the fact that many Chinese companies are producing quality hansets at lower prices.In flagship segment the competitors are less but competition is high.Apple and Samsung have their brand value They just have to come up with the greatest specs available at the time.Samsung have a head start too and their phones are receiving rave reviews.So they are not going anywhere.Apple also has a cult following.Lg is trying to differentiate itself by a modular design.HTC better have S7 specs with Boomsound speakers and nexus 6P camera with dual pixel technology with 5-axis OIS and atleast 3500 mah battery with SUPER VOOC fast charging

Its literally impossible to convince monkeys that apples better than bananas. For €740, an android, oh wait, I will buy a 1kg of slugs, because after one year slugs will be faster than the Lagging HTC 10.
This maybe the end of HTC company , seems like its following blackberry's path.
