I'm romanian and i hate the prices of smartphones here,especialy the flagships,You can still find here a sony xperia z2 at 450 usd or an iphone 5s 16gb for 430-450 usd,these prices are crazy for some people.
PS: the samsung galaxy s7 has the same price as the new HTC 10 - 3299 Ron or 828 usd

If the majority of phone users agree to pay 100$ for a iPhone, which we all know its quite a limited phone, that is never worth that amount of money, why are people bashing HTC ? Because they never owned a HTC , it has some key features that are above all other Android phones. Like the UI, build quality , never has my M7 or M9+ lagged.
Benchmarks shows that the M10 will be better than the S7 and the G5 . So why all the hate ? Because the M9 did not sell that good ?
And keep in mind , that Romania has a 20% VAT , and other taxes that the government rips off.

Actually this is the same price that other retailers in Romania were asking for an unlocked, Samsung Galaxy S7 32 Gb. Such prices are the norm for flagships here in Romania. Now after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 the prices dropped from 740€ to 699€ .

Well the HTC 10 at that rate is approximately just over half the price for what you pay for an Iphone in Australia. $1400 - $1800 for Iphone depending on the size / storage etc. I am not an iphone hater but that's crazy. So do not get all crazy n stuff but wait for the official announcement and live feed.

This roughly translates to around £580, so I can safely say everyone is better off buying an LG G5. If this is the official price, you've blown it.

The price is heftly because we have 20% VAT, we used to have 24%. And we also have other taxes that our beloved government is pushing to take even more money from us.
Expect this to be cheaper in other parts of the world.

Did some of you not read the article correctly "Romanian phone retailer" they can place-preoders to whatever they want they trying to make a margin on a new device
How do you know that's the price the HTC has set ?
I'm going to reserve my judgement until launch date. we would like to see HTC or any other manufacture do well be the negativity just brings them down and people wonder why they'll vanish one day

On that site the price of "Galaxy S7 32GB LTE 4G" is the same, they dont have very good prices.
