Anonymous, 22 Jun 2010Deep space, please tell us how you play videos on your N900... moreYou said that this is what you need to do to play videos on your n900

    -connect to pc
    -paste video
    -open file manager
    -go to videos > click?

Those are a lot of steps.  With the iphone, you just synch your iphone to your pc or mac, and all your videos get transferred automatically.  Or, you can directly download a video to your iphone via the itunes app.  Those steps that you have enumerated for the iphone are exagerrated.

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2010Sure there are nokia phones with flaws - they fake so many ... moreSo those reported issues on nokia devices are fakes, while the ones for the iphones are real? Then why is the iphone still selling more than nokia flagship devices?

720p video looks great! However, it seems to have a consistent stutter every second or so... Is that just my computer, or are other people seeing that in the video? Either way, they did a good job on the High Def video experience.

Watching the Nokia N8 720p video looked really good IMO as well, not quite 30fps but it didn't have that 'stutter'... Hmm..?

IMO the Iphone 4 is a solid piece of hardware. The OS and it's hardware features aren't quite my cup of tea, but to each his/her own. Still, you have to commend Apple for making a quality piece of technology here.

Try to download the video and play it on your PC. It is impressive and very smooth as well. Those 30FPS are real 30FPS.

[deleted post]This is interesting. I thought rich people receive good education. But so far you seem to be acting like a redneck and can't conjugate the verb "to watch".

I think you work at a dinner and save your years paycheck for an iphone.

You obviously haven't had other devices and don't know anything about mobile technology since you haven't even heard about DLNA.

My take is that you're really really poor and really hurt when people are mocking your year's savings investment.

The guy behind the nickname Swenak also captured a short HD video with the iPhone 4. It looks impressive and it's the best we've seen from a mobile phone to-date. --- WOW! iphone rocks!

But apple??? one device a year and each year the design is so bad it either cracks in your pocket or can't stand a 1 ft fall???

Or let's not forget "iPhone melts, cooks dude's leg"
tisk tisk tisk... one device/year and still full of flaws.

[deleted post]Deep space, please tell us how you play videos on your N900?
                                      is it:
                                      -connect to pc
                                      -paste video
                                      -open file manager
                                      -go to videos > click?

Because this is how I do it on my iPhone:
                                      A
                                      install itunes on my pc
look for a crappy conversion software
                                      pay for the crappy software
wait 20 minutes until my videos are converted
                                      move them via itunes

                                      or
                                      B
painfully find the best way to hack the device (can take hours to find the right version, baseband, etc)
                                      install mplayer
                                      install vlc
                                      set up ssh
wait ages for the videos to get copied via ssh
start vlc => only hiccups and freezes
now I have to move the videos in another folder because mplayer can't access the file system properly
                                      start mplayer

Again only hiccups to play a simple video file in the uber-powerful iphone

                                      C
finally I give up and curse apple
I come here and start mocking fanboys
