soraxd, 23 Jun 2010why does it need 512 ram.. it doesnt even have flash..Lol beats me my n900 runs better then a 1ghz snapdragon plus it can be overclocked to 1.3ghz lol with 256mb RAM

At the end of the day, it's up to you to decide what to buy. When the 3GS was launched I was sorely tempted to get a N97, then heard of the build issues after I opted for the N86 (which had it's own small problems)
The problem lies with consumerism and the belief that you made the RIGHT purchase in the first place. You want to prove that your phone is the best, even thought what you think as great features, might actually not be used at all by others. What is galling though, is when someone devotes time and effort to slam other companies (the fanboys) and creates websites that are full of propaganda. Sure it's their life, but there's so many more important that they could be doing.
Sure, I like the occasional windup, and defend the iphone, but I'm not a slave to Steve Jobs. I would never consider buying a Mac for instance.

What I don't understand is the misinformation about the iphone circulating among haters. One good example is the way in which apple markets it's new features, and peoples reaction saying "we've had this for years and Apple are saying it's new".
No they aren't, they are simply saying it is NEW for the IPHONE.
Of course, the haters don't let the facts get in the way of a good bashing do they? E.G. the scratch claim on the anti iphone website showing it can be scratched LIKE ANY OTHER DEVICE OUT THERE. However the photographic "proof" shows that someone has been at it with a sharp object. :o)

There's so much hate going on here. Which only means that the iphone is a great phone, and fanatics of other devices are not comfortable with its continuing success and domination in the mobile industry.
The iphone is getting a lot of positive reviews from professionals, and detractors will desperately try to counter those positive reviews by badmouthing Apple with anything, even when they're obviously being unreasonable.
Oh well, that's just how it is. The iphone4 will be more successful than previous iphones, and no amount of bashing can stop that.

My 3gs has no scratch whatsoever. Maybe because I handle my devices with care.

When the N900 came out that was the phone that every phone was compared too regardless of price. Now how can you compare a $200 phone to a $500 one? Now its the N8. Yet you never hear the same people say "oh the N8 kills the X6".
The iPhone is what it is. You know if you do not like one and would prefer to own an N8 then instead of posting this go buy one. Then stick to the N8 section where your fellow N8 owners can hold hands and sing campfire songs.
I personally would not buy an iPhone for $699. Nice phone but not $699 nice. Same goes for Apple computers.

i think it is not worth buying but that is totally my personal opinion........i dont want anyone to abide by it.
i think that one remarkable phone is coming to market like nokia n8....having some latest features as bluetooth 3.0 and hdmi connectivity and 12mp shooter along with wifi 802.11n. apple is a good company....no doubt about that.....but i dont know that in this globalised world where customer is eager to have more and maximum out of their device, why the hell they are not providing some basic features as flash support......i think that usb on the go is going to be a very handy feature for nokia n8 along with fm transmitter....i can bet anyone on the fact that none of the handset in the market at the moment has same features as upcoming nokia n8

Whether the iPhone is the best phone in the market is really just an opinion of the consumer. The phone is great for a multimedia user but for someone who just uses a phone to make a call then the iPhone isn't an option especially for it's price. And sales don't make it the best phone on the market. Like I said it's about preference otherwise Avatar is the best movie ever made. If say the HTC Evo were to sell more than the iPhone I'm sure everyone, especially Iphone users, would not concede that the Evo would be the best phone in the market.
What's really annoying to me is that fact that people trash other phones they have never used. I strongly believe that a lot of iPhone buyers have no idea about all the other competitive phones that are out in market. The operating system is smooth but too simple for my taste. The novelty has worn off and if it wasn't for jailbreaking I would have switched phones a long time ago. People who complain about other operating systems being too complicated to me are just lazy. The iPhone OS is probably one of the easiest to get used to but I'm sure in a day or two every other OS becomes easy to use.
And truth be told, the iPhones sell as much as they do because it's made by Apple. I really believe that if some other manufacturer came out with the iPhone they wouldnt be as successful especially with the little changes they make to the upgraded models. The Iphone 4 should have been released last year.
In my opinion it is a great phone but it's definetly not the best phone in the market. And that's just my opinion. Use what phone you think is best for you and don't go bashing other phones that are best for other users. In the end these are just phones that really should only matter for their most important purpose, to make phone calls.
