Anonymous, 03 Apr 2016What matters is that you are paying premium for something t... moreDon't talk about premium when supporting g5. The metal feels like plastic because of the paint, and it scratches incredibly easily. The metal body has gaps where dust can enter. The magic slot has an even bigger gap and it can bend easily. The screen itself is quite thin, so if you push too hard it creates a little distortion for a bit, you know, what cheap Chinese phones can do. The phone looks quite bulky with a fair amount of useless bezels.

Then there is no ip68 rating, poor battery life, cheap looking design, and a lot of reports of light bleed on the display.

On the other hand the only problems with the s7 is lack of ir blaster and a few other niche features nobody even knows about, and eben the people that do use it typically don't depend on it, like ir blaster.

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2016It was an April fools d***bYea right, LGboy, just admit LG's newest flagship is a bit of a flop compared to Samsung's S7 /edge..

      Not giving you nee features
Updating the phone after more than one year of releasing two major oses
I have a note 4 so I know what it feels like to pay a high price for a low support

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2016Samsung has become apple no longer leading in innovation bu... moreUsb type c is hardly a deal breaker. For many people it is more convenient because they have many cables for it.

Also, Samsung's quick charge is only slightly slower than the g5, but due to the fact it has a bigger battery and much better battery life, you'd be able to squeeze out a lot more from 30 minutes charging.

          S7 has everything that matters. G5 doesn't.

AnonD-257034, 03 Apr 2016Yeah, flaws like no SD card, lack of waterproofing and poor... moreMy wife has my old S5 with the extended 7500mA Anker battery. It's a brick. And it goes and goes and goes. I have an S6 and I'm charging it all day long. Give me an s5/Anker brick any day. But nobody does a current version. Why not????? If you make phones that do everything under the sun you need a massive battery. You need a brick.

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2016Samsung has become apple no longer leading in innovation bu... moreSamsung probably dissapoints by removing ir blaster and fm transmitter and usb type c.. But other than that it still delivers the best.. Samsung does not include quallcomm quick charge 3.0 because it uses its own samsung quick charge which is a lot faster charging at 9volts.. Samsung is wayy above apple garbage

First of all, we have the LG Flagship versus a non-flagship Samsung. Everyone knows the Galaxy S7 Edge is the real flagship. The LG G5 is a very good phone but just the removable battery feature is not enough to outweigh the Samsung features and overall performance.

Sometimes I wonder about these blog comments and polls. I believe more complainers and haters like to post comments more often than the ideal unbiased consumers. With that said, to address the battery issue:

Galaxy S7 (Edge): majority of consumers will experience over 24 hours per charge, allowing the phone to be charged less throughout the year, thus rarely needing to carry a charger around throughout the regular work day. Also, even if you do need to charge a Galaxy S7 Edge 3600ma battery, it will only take about 90 minutes with fast charging. Most other phones will need more time.

LG G5: before the day ends, a good amount of users may need to either plug their phone in, or swap out the battery to finish day. Then the drained battery will take a while to be charged.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it seem on a daily basis there is more work to do owning an LG G5?

Samsung has become apple no longer leading in innovation but just adding old features back and skipping on new hardware and features
Dont tell me usb c is right now a gimmick this is a flagship not a midrange

The s7 does not even have quick charge 3.0

Good luck with your sales, LG.

If you can actually take that G5 modular swapping battery to a really far in the innovation then it's the big deal that we need that's why I'm giving it my vote

since when other than samsung started making "good" android handsets?

lg g5 is perfect bendphone !

Its LG's time to pay for their arrogance, Samsung listened to the critics and reinstalled waterproofness, 76% screen to body ratio, big capacity battery, and sd card.
Lg made a namd with G2 ,because it had super battery endurance, and 75% body to screen ratio. Then they made G3 and G4 that gradually lost the screen to body ratio and the battery endurance keep getting from bad to worse and instead of fixing it, the G5 has even worse battery endurance and worse screen to body ratio. The camera in day time was already excellent for sony,lg and samsung since last, the diferrence is small that it doesnt matter anymore, the onlything left to improve was the night performance, no, i didnt need a third camera, to make even wider shots of 8mp, thats just a gimmick, i want to take a decent shot, even when the sun its not there, i can get a wider shot with panorama function, but to improve night shots new technology ought to be developed.
I dont want to buy extra modules to improve my battery capacity, nor to buy extra batteries, nor to carry super fast chargers, nor to swap batteries 4times per day to charge and use, i had enough of that with my G3 and i want no more, no i need higher battery capacity and top battery endurance. The best results i can get with carrying extra accessories and weight, i want to use my mobile without the extra hassle such a pitifull battery endurance the G3, G4 and G5 demand. i buy a new flagship every year and i demand it to be able to handle my high power user needs. i want efficiency, if am i to carry a phablet sized brick, i demand from it to use its size with efficiency, so that i can take advantage of its size on screen estate. G3 was a step back from G2 on that behalfs, G4 was worse than G3 and G5 is worse than G4. The lg flagship grow taller and taller, their batterty endurance becomes worse with every new model and the screen to body ratio too. I care not for innivation just for the sake of it, i care for the innovation that works towards my needs and as the poll prooves, lg took the wrong path again, hopefully next time they will listen to us and find a way to offer better screen to body ratios and battery endurance, this is what matters, this is what we want, they shove to our throat what they want and buy it, onky because its innovative in an indifferent way...

This new glass design of samsung is horrible, glass makes a phone more fragile to scratches and breaks.

Sadly most of my friends have a Samsung, if you see their S6 it's just like with the iPhone 4(S) in the past, broken glass and cracks.

There is a reason why Apple stopped with glass back, it's a nightmare.
