The smart manager they release actually helped tremendously and it has even breathe new life into my Note 3 with much better battery and performance. But i would agree, their phone used to have the tendency to lag after few months.

Though it's not as durable and the battery life is somewhat lacking, the G5 pretty much defeats the S7 overall. And the battery's removable anyway, so you can just replace it for twice the amount of time. Also charge time is much faster due to USB Type-C, so you can't really complain xD

Well, I guess I'm one of the few rooting for the G5, it seems. I'm too bored of Samsung, and the G5's removable battery lets me put in another one if I want, so battery life is an easy win for me anyway, especially since it charges faster than the S7 anyway. The G5 may not be as durable (especially with the easy to scratch paint job) but I need a change. Also, that Bang & Olufsen 32-bit DAC module makes me so much happier as an audiophile. It'd be a nice change from my current ZTE Axon Pro. But I am questioning getting an LG V10 for a cheaper price, and it is fairly more durable.

My favourite is Sony but from LG and Samsung my choice is LG because any Samsung will lag after few months. Trust me.

I prefer G5 over s7 because of the Camera and the modular design seems interesting and promising too, as an Xperia user giving up the ip rating concerns me, but i really never used any of my phones near water or anything,and i didn't even use the " underwater photography " capabilities of my Xperia either, and since LG cameras are great, i would go for G5 instead of S7 or the somewhat not so interesting X performance.

after the review, a dismal battery life makes it even easier to choose the s7 over the g5. i don't care about modular crap. if it doesn't last me a day of heavy usage then it's only a frustration.

I would choose the G5 over the vanilla S7. But the S7 Edge over the G5.

s7 , dont get me wrong the concept of LG is stuning but it has a long way to go. currunty S7 perfect smart phone of the world at the moment.
NO 1 IN DESIGN
NO 1 IN QUALITY
NO 2 IN PROFORMANCE i think still no 1 goes to iPhone 6s

Despite the S7 being a good phone (I had an S6, and other than the case being too slippery, the camera was outstanding) and it being more attractive than the G5, LG have continued to innovate AND implemented USB-C, the one achilles heal of the S7 series. LG innovations:
Friends system (although I see it as appealing to vertical market solutions, not mass market)
Twin camera
USB-C (Not an innovation, but a plus!)
Rear power/fingerprint reader
