I have purchased every single LG Flagship phone every year since the g2x and have continuously made that decision after playing with every phone there is to offer... Didnt get the V10 but the g2x was the last one that was plagued with bugs and i always buy lg for the best andriod experience,
My old lg phones still run way better than yall old samsungs cuz its too much bloatware on them... Dont just read a bunch of reviews and buy a phone based off them reviews cuz the phone companies pay for the reviews idiots!!! And the other bottom line is just lg listens more now than ever and as consumers get smarter they will buy lg because value and UI (most important) you dummys actually put phones in cases so who gives a shit how it feels unless its a mid level phone that dont cost that much

i think people dont even imagen the wide camera videos and photos what a game changer is, and ive been playing with an s7 and still laggs, its fucked up.
also the 4 3 ratio of s7 camera sucks
16 mega photo for a 9 mega photo in s7 with 4:3 ratio,come on its a joke
speaker phone sucks because of ip68
my next phone is lgg5 or m10 if its the ferrari of android phones ever borned to date.

There is no competition really, the S7 has better night camera, better display, more premium design, better bezels, waterproofeness and whats most important to actually use all that, better battery endurance. It beats in every sector that matters, both phones have a few extra gimmics, but those dont make any real dfifference.
Both fine choices, but the LG has 2 major weaknesses in their huge bezels and pathetic battery life, it should be much much cheaper, thats what LG used to do best, create cheap phones. They have dissapointed many of us, because of the top bezel and battery endurance the legendary G2 had and betrayed ever since, hopefully they will improve with the G6...

Well, after finding out that G5's housing is covered in plastic, I gotta give it to S7.
That's really bad considering you are advertising it as an all metal phone.

to be honest samsung will win by a large margin.not because s7 is great.but because of sammy fanboys and those who are getting paid by samsung.l am not an LG fanboy.i am actually a sony fan boy bt sony is not doing anything great like they used to so i am watching other brands and i must say lg is better than i thought.the only place where lg would loose here is in battery life.other than that it can compete with s7.be honest guys.i will pay you more than samsung is paying you for being honest.

Generations of difference - lg cannot win if its so poor with battery life. Just compare generations before and before. Now, G5 and S7 couldn't be more different in this field. For cameras I would take better G5 - f1.8 is quite low-light and still fast for now, while staying in hi-res and adding new things: wide angle(,rgb sensor,ui...) - great for someone who like to take shots... In the endurance field its about the same - lg-bottom or glassy-back of samsung. I give vote to LG just because 12Mp is so less Mp than in my 3years old phone. It would need to be sharp like L1020's 5Mp to catch my attention. Wanna see poll for same quality cameras: Less pixels vs. same/more&protruding. What is use for glassy look if everyone put it in the case :)

the lg simply can't compete. Let's talk about the overall finish of the phone: what you are touching on the g5 is actually cheap plastic paint, the display has massive issues including screen bleeding. And the battery can't compare to galaxy s7's. Let's be honest, the whole "modularity" will fail within a year if you change the battery daily.
