Some trolls are bringing 3rd world countries, poverty and such shit on this tech sites. We dont need expert and jingoistic advice from some of the western people who claim as if they know everything and people from developing countries are stupid.

raza, 05 Apr 2016very very costly . I think we should go for samsung and htc... more"very very costly . I think we should go for samsung and htc brand. price of both of brand is affordable than vivo"
--> samsung with lower specs or the same (but minus HiFi capability) can slightly more costly than Vivo

[deleted post]and you are no different with those trolls, just bring your complaints elsewhere, I hate kind of people who still complaining about the price because they can't afford it while the price itself is reasonable and affordable, and if you don't able to buy it then lower your aim or find another option which is more affordable in your range.. and I live in 3rd world which is I believed far more harsh than yours.

RishiGuru, 05 Apr 2016It is quite strange... you speak for smartphone manufacture... morePeople have been waiting for a long time for xiaomi to be launched all over because for most of the world these prices are very reasonable as compared to 3rd world Lenovo and leeco are already available all over the world but noting can beat xiaomi value for money and the aosp support on xiaomi is far more better and supported by the company itself than all the companies you mentioned in the 3rd world it would be very rare for people to root a phone of 350$ so it doesn't make sense for you on the contrary people are ready to pay huge amounts of money for apples And sumsungs but the bias is only towards Chinese companies even though they are offering the same specs for half the price or even less

[deleted post]It is quite strange... you speak for smartphone manufacturers and how well they sell phones to garner fat profits.... rather than how end consumers gets benefited with a excellent device at an aggressive price. If BBK owned OnePlus can sell like hot cakes in US it's coz they do not have the option of a LeEco or Lenovo or Xiaomi. Unfortunately I think you do not live in India hence are starved of options. If you have ever had a Lenovo Vibe X3 .. man that thing simply obliterates the OnePlus 2 in every department at a much lower price, so much so that OnePlus had to reduce their price to stay competitive. Man I am so happy to be an Indian, and only hope you get the same amount of options in US that we do.

Big Daddy, 05 Apr 2016If they price it well, it is going to sell a lot.Vivo is the pioneer of HiFi oriented smartphones. Period. They were the king in the audio department, the often neglected part of a smartphone. Truly if you look at their illustrious past they were able to rope in some best names in audiophile industry namely, Analog Devices, AKM, ESS, Cirrus Logic, and Texas Instruments to name a few. They were also the first to emphasize that implementing a quality DAC is not enough for quality audio in a smartphone. You need to additional have powerful headphone amplifiers to drive the audiophile grade headphones to their fullest, producing powerful, rich, and deep sound.
Speaking of their globally available units, Vivo X5Pro implemented the superlative Cirrus Logic CS4398 voltage DAC complemented with powerful headphone amplifier Maxim MAX97220 in HiFi 1.0 audio architecture. Result was stellar audio quality with volume levels as high as -3.3 dB when phones like OnePlus X barely manage -11.0dB. Next they introduced more expensive HiFi 2.0 architecture with Vivo X5Max. Here we get the magnanimous ESS Sabre ES9018 current DAC with ... wait for it ... two headphone amplifiers in a smartphone!!! First a Vivo exclusive ESS ES9601 followed by the revered Texas Instruments OPA1612. With X5Max, Vivo attained true HiFi with a measured 120dB SNR, 118dB dynamic range and distortion less than -100dB. This indicates they have actually surpassed most desktop and high resolution portable players and also in having volume levels as high as -1.4dB in a smartphone. Their are no other Vivo smartphone that offers HiFi 2.0 as of now.
Looking at the recently released V3 & V3Max, it pains me to say Vivo have completely lost their single-minded HiFi oriented smartphones for which they were famous for. Coz they were frankly never exceptional in any other departments of a phone like overall performance, gaming performance or camera performance. Look at V3 & V3Max, a pair of ordinary phones at an extraordinary price. Who would buy a Vivo V3 Max with Snapdragon 652 at INR 24K in India, when you get a flagship device like Xiaomi Mi 5 with Snapdragon 820 at INR 25K. Who would buy a Vivo V3 with Snapdragon 616 at INR 18K in India, when you get a superb device like Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with Snapdragon 650 at just INR 10K. It even pains me to find out Vivo is using the cheapest HiFi audio alternative available aka AKM AK4375 with the lowest performance compared to Cirrus Logic or ESS. It not even qualifies for HiFi 1.0 architecture!!!
To me Vivo V3 & V3Max are a waste of money. And then be sure you will not have any android version upgrades in the future. If you truly want audiophile grade sound in a great package look no further than Lenovo Vibe X3 retailing at INR 20K in Amazon India. The X3 will obliterate V3Max in audio performance with the famous ESS Sabre ES9018 DAC + three TI OPA1612 op-amp implementation while being cheaper. On the other hand if you want to have flagship experience, shell out INR 1K more and get a Xiaomi Mi 5 at INR 25.
