I smell many lawsuits... get you sue face on... this is the USA...
They obviously knew it was flawed, they were offering bumpers to correct it and those pictures of them using the phone are not when a call is in progress...a true marketing fustercluck...

Lol, 25 Jun 2010Are you talking about Nokia phone made in 2000. Because all... moreI've always said and would continue to say that apple are only skilled at one thing.
Producing the perfect piece of trash. Its marketable, fashionable and clearly states 'high end'. But its no value for money, practically useless as smartphones go and forever enslaves you to them (apple).

Just another way of Apple telling you what you can and can't do with your handset. Coming soon...Apple says you aren't meant to make calls on the third wednesday of every month or you'll start farting uncontrollably. This is normal of any handset and is your own damn fault for makin this rookie mistake. lol!

Picked up an iphone yesterday - I have finally given in after all these years of telling myself not to get one...
Using it for the first time today so still getting use to it. The signal thing is a bit of a downer...considering I have always used my left hand to hold phones, for apple to pass of a design flaw as user error is a bit dissappointing...
Luckily I planned on buying a bumper anyway - looks like i'll just be needing one sooner rather than later - shame...

this is called monopoly and dictatorship and ruling people's lives..... why the heck people still buying their products. there are million other products which offers better specs and better funcationality and usability and much better price. i just wonder where is democracy and human rights in here. i think people that are left handed should Sue Apple big time for their comments. i hope they all get recalled and refunded sooon.

Typical apple with their arrogance. Im left handed so i naturally talk on the phone by using my left hand. So now apple are trying to dictate to myself and the millions of other left handed people that we are holding the phone incorrectly and have to change the wa we talk on the phone to suit thier FLAWED product design. Its ridiculous!

I simply love the fact that the antenna is not on upper side of the phone like most Nokias, but on the lower side and away from the brain tissue, if you hold it on your ear with right hand. Someone should really test that problem, finding the spot with less good signal, per say 2-3 bars, hold it "the wrong way" and try to call with with an other phone or a land line to see weither it really does have a signal or not. I think they will just issue an update for the phone which will solve this, and this is not a real problem, but something like built in sensor that does this on purpuse just to make more marketing, and there is probably an update which will resolve this issue. Remember the iPhone 3G which had a "flawed" electronics for 3G/UMTS system making it loose signal ? And a lot of other "problems" ? This is just a marketing scam.
