Lenovo ruined the once elite Thinkpad brand. In the professional computing world, Lenovo is synonymous with cheap junk, and the company has lost all of its government contracts and most of its business contracts as a result.
Fortunately, there isn't much to ruin with the Motorola name. Motorola ruined itself. This purchase was done just so Lenovo can get a foothold in the American mobile market, where people are weary of the Lenovo brand.

i like having the fingerprint sensor on the front of the device as you can easily unlock it while you have it on the desk etc., as opposed to on the back where you have to pick it up to quickly check Facebook etc.,

Probably it is Moto. But, if we look more closely, it looks like another brand of phone.
