Apple sells 1.7 million iPhone 4s in just three days

28 June, 2010
Mind blowing! If you had to guess how many iPhone 4s would Apple manage to push in three days, you wouldn't guess 1.7 million would you? And you'd be wrong, because that's exactly how many they sold...

Hmm, weird, where I live in, I haven't seen a single Apple Iphone 4 so far....but that's a bit too much, my friend owns an apple 3gs....lolz.

Well, if people like iphones so much, I haven't go anything to say, it's their personal opinions here, but some people are way richer than others, and they can afford the iphone, not me, haha.
All I own is a Nokia C5, and it does the job for me.
Anyways, apple makes 1 or 2 selected few products, and they are very popular, so they have more sales, i guess.

In my opinion, I always found an iphone too..big...upways and sideways to use comfortably, if you know what I mean. :)
I'm not saying this is only apple iphones, samsung galaxy and other similar phones always seem too big to me...

So many people buy things these days because of the brand, this phone isn't special and can't win anything against the other companies phone.

Do you know where Apple stores are located at? It is located at high end cities and areas, and not some ghetto mobile phone stores where you can buy your generic htc, nokia, lg, and samsung devices. You obviously do not know what you are talking about.

Proof of that would be the recent comparison of photos taken between the iphone4 and droid. Iphone with only 5mp camera beat the droid's 8mp camera. Photos taken from the iphone's 5mp camera also rendered better results than samsung galaxy. And to think that samsung has been producing standalone digital cameras. It's really something that Apple is able to produce better photo and video results. Iphone also beat evo in the camera department.

Who gets a smart phone without a data plan anyway? Anyone who owns a smart phone with a data plan is going to pay that amount, unless you know of a cell phone company that gives data for free. If you do please let me know who it is so I can change carriers right now.

Bricked, 28 Jun 2010Good comments from you and Deep Space Bar. Reasoned debate ... moreJust curious why don't you consider Motorola Android phones? Its Dorid / Milestone is still the best selling Android device so far.

X10? Why bother with the outdated OS? When Moto is running 2.1 in May, SE released X10 with 1.6 in April...and still NO UPDATE til Q3/Q4. By then Moto phones will likely be 2.2 or above. Plus the voice quality of SE phones...much much worse than iphone.

HTC? Where I live it's known "not" to admit its problems and refuses to fix phones under warranty as much as possible.

I ain't any expert in HTC, so if one holds a Desire vs. Legend vs. Wildfire or whatever, I can't really tell the differences...or sometimes I can't even tell them apart from other brsnds like Samsung.

But whoever takes out an iphone, even my 75 years old mom knows that's iphone.

The almighty brand? Don't even bother! How many devices does it offer in the US$800 range that can sell as well as iphone? Even if you combine the sales of N97/min/N900/N8 (so you need to compare oranges with oranges...we're talking about phones in the same price range), they still can't match that of iphone.

This so called reception issue is not new nor is it solely an iPhone 4 problem. My work Blackberry does it as does Nokia handsets. The only difference is that when you sell 1.7 million units in 3 days you are under the microscope, nobody cares about the other handsets enough to notice or put it in the news. Don't believe me, see link below.

... if you count in all the exchange devices they had to give out to users with faulty products! :)

It does not surprise me that Apple sells so much. Keep in mind: Apple has only 1 device on the market at a time. If HTC or Nokia would have only 1 device at a time, their sales would be similar.
