Apple sells 1.7 million iPhone 4s in just three days

28 June, 2010
Mind blowing! If you had to guess how many iPhone 4s would Apple manage to push in three days, you wouldn't guess 1.7 million would you? And you'd be wrong, because that's exactly how many they sold...

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2010So why do you nokia fanboys even bother with iphone article... moreThere is no such thing as a high end priced phones... There are High end phone and high priced phones..

The Iphone 4 is not as high end as N8 yet way overprices.
Meanwhile the N8 is very high end yet quite a lot cheaper.

I never said N8 won't sell 1.7 million phones... I just said that the comparison was useless.

On that note.. did you know that in 2008 the E71 sold more units than the Iphone 3G. And in 2009 the E72 sold more units than Iphone 3gs?

In the same price range as N8, there are infact other nokia devices like.. E72, N900, the upcoming N9 for example....

Your argument is useless as the Iphone 4 and the n8 are no way in the same price range...

I haven't had a single complaint about any of the iPhone 4's we have sold , had lots of calls by iPhone 4 owners worried about what they had read about said reception issues .
I think it's nonsense as I have personally tried to get it to drop signal on 7 different iPhone 4's to no avail
And it is an amazing smartphone ,
And I use a Htc desire and I like it ,but iPhone 4 is better all round , especially in the music and battery department

1.7 million units in 3 days. Get that? Lol. And they could have sold more if they had more stores and more supply. I can tell that you are really mad, hahahaha. You need to calm down. Are you emotional hurt of the iphone's success? Please don't be angry :)

Phones have different price categories. The iphone's price group is in the high end. So you can compare it directly to any other high end priced phone out there. Hence, it is sensible to compare it to n8 sales. Other phones in the lower price categories are more of like cheap alternatives for those who cannot afford a high end device.

Nice try to defend your n8. I can see that you can already tell that your n8 will not sells as many as the iphone, so you're already making excuses for it in advance, hahahahaha

Apple (Jobs): Listen to me all of you... Do as I say, and hold your magical devices like I tell you to or the curse of the dropped call shall befall upon you... Ha Ha Ha Ha HA...

[deleted post]There are in fact a shxtload of apps you can find for iphone; coming close would be android...
What drives the sales? Look around people who carry the different devices and I am sure you would come to consensus...
I personally think that android would be the biggest threat to job's toyphone...

Those Ifans saying that the N8 should sell more than 1.7 million in 3 days are not getting the full picture...

You see, Apple only has one device, thats ONE phone!!. Obviously, anyone wanting an apple or iOS are force to buy the Iphone.

The N8 on the other hand is just one device out of hundreds that Nokia offer so that buyers can buy the best one that suits their needs and their budget.

Therefore it is not a good idea to compare the phone from a company making only one modal to one phone from a company that offer many many choices.

Sad that many Ifans don't get this..

I am really impressed by the take up rate! If we looked into history and asked ourselves, "which brand/model has ever had people queuing up for?".
Definitely not one we have heard of except for apple!
I am not an Apple fan but I must applaud to their tactics for having so much fans and in such a way that it has become more of a cult; not in a bad way.
Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, LG, Sony-Ericsson, etc... Watch where the market is heading...

No matter how hard they try. The iphone still rules. But gotta give those haters props for persistence (stubborn).

List of 10 best-selling mobile phones from Wikipedia:

                                  # Nokia 1100 (200 million)
                                  # Nokia 3210 (150 million)
                                  # Motorola RAZR V3 (130 million)
                                  # Nokia 3310 (126 million)
                                  # iPhone (55 million+ (as of June 23rd))
                                  # Nokia 2100 (20 million)
                                  # LG Chocolate (15 million)
                                  # BlackBerry Pearl (10 million)

                                  # Nokia 5310 XpressMusic (10 million)

Nokia 1100 is probably the smartest, most beautiful, best quality, sexiest, most powerful one that killed them all, hmmm? No surprise when it has so many features that the iPhone doesn't... it can even make calls!

Well having experienced both an Iphone & Nokia's Symbian OS's, I made a very simple decision.

I went to Android, Symbian by comparison to the Android system is lightning fast, smooth & it's not frozen or crashed once yet.

If I compare it against the Iphone however the differences/choices are harder to make because the Iphone's interface is so slick, smooth & stylish, it's also fast.

However I chose the Android system as I felt it gave me more options, I didn't feel it was quite as restrained as an Iphone, it being open source. My new phone is the HTC Desire, with a Fast/slick UI & slim to boot & I can expand its memory.

I love it to pieces, so much better than the Nokia 5800 that I've just dumped.
