The Ipad clearly is not, Jobs said so himself and that he does not believe in Netbooks either..
Why would you want to compare them?

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2010Read earlier posts dude.... It was Ifans boasting that N8 ... moreyou're missing the fact that apple has been in the cellphone business for only 3 years unlike nokia it's been around for more than 10 years so it's not fair comparing unless you want to compare the amount of touch smartphones sold by nokia which will be less than the amount of iphones sold

I'm not saying I dislike Nokia, being a previous owner of the N86, but the zealots really get my goat.
When you state facts at them, they go quiet. Or they then show you a link to that iphonefever website. Which is ironic, because whilst it claims to be telling the truth and giving out "info that they don't want you to know about", they are in fact, 10 times more biased and uninformative than all of the review websites out there that are praising the Iphone 4.0 :)

If you want a comparison,
Do Apple units sold VS Nokia Units sold.
OR.. Symbian OS units sold vs iOS units sold (including earlier OS)

John, 28 Jun 2010Just to highlight the IFans cheap/ low way of thinking, her... moreWhat a twisted logic you have.
First of all, no one is forced to buy the iphone.
Regardless if a phonemaker only sells one device or multiple devices, there are price categories for each device. Buyers who cannot afford high end devices would not even consider the iphone or the n8 and will settle with cheaper alternatives. So it does not matter. Meaning, the iphone unit sales can be compared to other devices in that same price category. You're just making excuses because you're afraid that your precious n8 will not be able to sell as many units as the iphone4 even after all the bad publicity that the iphone4 has endured both from its haters and the media.
What's horrible are haters like you. We iphone users bought the iphone because it is the right device for us not caring about whatever nokia device you get. While you n8 fans attack Apple and iphone users when our choices are none of your business. And when we prove you wrong, you come up with your lame excuses.

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2010How many out of those 1.7 million were just upgrading from ... moreAnd there's the dumb brainwashed lie again.
Hello? We're living in the REAL world now, not some scandinavian fantasy land where maidens take you to Valhalla when you die!
Clearly whatever percentage upgraded because they LIKED the iphone 3GS.
Stephen Fry for instance, upgraded and uses his iphone more than the Blackberry and Samsung Wave he has, and says that the iphone is the best smartphone on the planet!!
Of course, you'll now say "he was paid by Apple"
I doubt it. If you've ever read Fry on twitter, you'll know he doesn't mind upsetting people with his views.
Lets see how the N8 takes advantage of the bad press that Apple has had in the last few days.

Whenever someone says, "Apple sold so many iphones this year", a Nokia fanboy comes along and says "but Nokia sells lots more than Apple", conveniently ignoring the fact that it's a single device we are talking about. They don't listen.
So, yes, you can't compare both companies. But it's the NOKIA trolls that don't listen.

Just to highlight the IFans cheap/ low way of thinking, here is a comment to justify the IFan way of thinking..
'Those Ifans saying that the N8 should sell more than 1.7 million in 3 days are not getting the full picture...
You see, Apple only has one device, thats ONE phone!!. Obviously, anyone wanting an apple or iOS are force to buy the Iphone.
The N8 on the other hand is just one device out of hundreds that Nokia offer so that buyers can buy the best one that suits their needs and their budget.
Therefore it is not a good idea to compare the phone from a company making only one modal to one phone from a company that offer many many choices.
Sad that many Ifans don't get this..'
Now I would tell you the fact why Ifans think this way, itz because this is the way Steve Jobs wants them to think. steve jobs is like their God Father. Remember 'Your holding the phone in the wrong way'.
Lol, that was funny..
'Just dont hold the phone that way'
Lol!1 what a joke.
1.7 million people, you have been fooled.
If Mr Jobs crap is labeled with Apple logo, these 1.7 million people would go up to get it for any amount that Mr Jobs asks for.
Lol!! IPeople are so horrible.
Then they expect Nokia to sell 1.7 million N8 phones.
Yess if Nokia manufactured just 1 phone a year, just like how Apple does, then I can assure, Nokia would not only sell more than 1.7 million phones of N8 in 3 days, infact it would sell more than 3.4 million N8 in 1.5 days.
Cheers!!

1.7 MILLION sales of ONE device. In THREE DAYS.
The Nokia Zealots just can't get their heads around that, they seem to think that Nokia sells millions of one device.
I keep saying it, but they just can't accept it. It's like they blank anything good about the iphone out of their heads? Perhaps their Nokias are scrambling their brains? After all, you can cover them in lead and they will still get full bars :)
