Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 gets a firmware update

Is anyone facing battery not charging problem. I can't charge my phones battery over 90%. It starts draining as soon as it reaches 90% even the charger is still pluged in. Would appreciate if anyone can suggest a solution.

baseband version: 1.0.16
build number: R1FA016
i did follow the steps like you said, i have done it before too and it worked from R1FA14 to R1FA16 but now no luck thank you anyways.

vec , 04 Jul 2010hi i live in USA and i have x10i and there is no update for... moreread my 2nd last comment where i gave step by step instruction to someone with the same issue. i updated mine earlier today its much smoother & touchscreen sensitivity is much improved specially when texting. & the screen transition to timescape & mediascape is smoother now wth a flow transition not a laggy 1 like b4. so just follow the steps i mentioned on that post & u shud be fine.

vec, 04 Jul 2010i did exactly this and it says you have the newest software! do you have the X10a or X10i? i have the X10a so when i connected it it asked me that i could either just update the firmware OR i can reset the phone to factory settings+update the firmware. it should work the same for you if u have an X10a...but if it's an X10i then sorry im not sure if it'll work the same way. check your "about phone" info from settings...it shud say basehand version 1.1.25 if it's updated to the latest version & firmwire is still 1.6 since it's not 2.1 eclair just minor updates on top of 1.6 so check that, if it's not 1.1.25 then you're is probably X10i. check model number on the same page if it says X10i/X10a. X10a is american, i is international.

Anonymous, 02 Jul 2010anyone know when the update is coming to USA??the update is available for USA at the Sony site...change the country to USA then go in Sony Ericsson X10 by selecting the phone from the phone list...then you'll see tabs like overview, specifications, support & all...click on support then look down below it would say update system software...what you'll have to do it turn ur device of, take out battery for 5 seconds...once you download the software press the back button then connect you phone to your pc while holding the back button...once it's connected it'd say on the screen that release the back button...then it would say there's a new firmware update for your phone...just follow the instructions & keep on going next...once it's done just disconnect it from you pc then turn it on! hope it helps.

For canada, update is available trough their website, OTA says not available, but from the update tool says " new update found ", and installed it and check, i am on the newest build :)

[deleted post]sorry mate u've taken it the wrong way.....i mean i'm from india{2nd largest cell phone market}it has'nt reached here yet....also the 2nd firmware never reached here......and hey g1 is from htc....they release fw's like crazy.....nd se doesn't give a shit abt it....i mean 2.1 in q3,till it reaaches us it'll b q4
