Nokia N9 smartphone to actually pack a large 4-inch touchscreen

I bought a nokia N9 in may,2012...İts a real disappointment for me...Its just a phone..nothing more.
You can just answer your callings or you call someone..and u can read or answer your emails.. thats all..nothing more.. it says 8MP camera but just allows you max 7MP photos. İts very veryi hard to hear that phone whil its ringing..usually I miss my callings.
it just seems good on paper..most of the necessary applications dont work with this phone while they work very easily with older nokia models..this is very strange.

8MP camera? That would totally suck! Then why would I buy it instead of N8? What does it offer in PLUS (additional) to my N8? Why should I replace my N8 with N9 if its camera is worse and not better?
Bring on a 12MP camera with a CCD sensor instead of typical CMOS sensor that video records 1080p + HDR photos like on Iphone 4 and I will definitely buy a Nokia N9 as soon as it hits the market. Otherwise I will say a big NO WAY to Nokia N9!

It seems good on paper, but will it turn out to be garbage like the n96 and n97? The specs for those handsets looked good on paper too, but when i bought them, i found the ram was far too small in both of them - half of what the n95 has got - and my n95 has got 147mb ram. I think the n9 will be very expensive if nokia do decide to produce and sell it, so i hope they try it and test it properly first before they do. After the trouble i had with the n96 and n97, i said i would never buy another nokia, but the n9 has aroused my curiosity. I will wait and see what other peoples opinions are once it's on sale before i put my hand in my pocket.

Let me put it this way, it is impossible to fit a comfortable five row qwerty on a tilting side slider of this size. The e90 was a flip. It had a formfactor no sensible manufacturer would be putting on any new phone in this touch screen age.

I'm also not a fan of massive screens i.e large phones, but this piece of sleek engineering looks slim and ergonomic enough, plus it probably has everything that I could need in a phone (the N8 defintely does), out of the box (I really like what Nokia's done with their navigation). I was seriously thinking of the N8 when it hits the shops, but I think that this N9, or whatever it's really called, is the new front runner. Nice one Nokia!

What a pity. Nokia should build a wider screen with a 5 row keyboard. All new nokia qwerty keyboard phones are incomparable to the old Nokia E90 which Iam still having. The nokia phone designer must be thinking he's a genius designing a 4 row keyboard. Sold my N900 because it lacks the 5th row numeric button, which I tend to waste time when typing numbers. I think nokia doesn't listen to what the end user wants.

The "C0" sign on the device does not mean that it's a future C series device, nokia puts that sign on all it's prototype phones, even N8 prototypes have C0 written on it.

The front isn't (dual)LED flash. It's a proximity sensor and a light sensor to adjust screen brightness automatically. It's on every phone on the market! I can't beleive you didn't know that and thought it wrong!

It appears there is a misguided information about the device. The video clearly shows a prototype of what seems to be the next C class flag ship phone (it's actually written on the device) - NOT N! It would be very much appreciated if the author could have a second look at this think and clear things up. Thnx

It will be the same on Symbian^3...

This is symbian^3.... moreAs I said Ram is very important, if you have a phone with 32 GB, and the Ram is full, and if you have eg 3 GB of remaining memory, you can put things on your phone, but if your Ram is full, you can't open things. I have an N73, and if I don't have Ram, I can't open things. If I will close things, then I can open other things.

All smartphones freeze at one point or the other. They are just like pcs And symbian is undoubtably the closest mobile os has gotten to pc.(simultaneous and non prioritized multitasking). Its the price you have to pay. Even the iphone which is not a smartphone freezes. No doubt, symbian freezes more frequently than any other platform but this is mostly because of the third party apps installed. My dad uses a nokia e71. He is not the average phone user and only downloads the few apps he needs from the ovistore. His phone has never hanged once. Symbian allows anyone to write a program. No program certified by nokia would give you problems.
