It's called the PlayStation 4 Neo, not PS4k and it's to improve graphics fidelity i.e. 1080p with higher frame rates, etc

Nonetheless, many gamers or PS4 owners are excited about this. The most important things for them is not about 4K gaming but it's an assurance to finally play a Full HD game with stable 60 fps frame rate. That alone, I think is convincing enough for them to upgrade. Now we just have to wait for responses from developers as this upgrade will give them extra hassle on development process.

AnonD-495544, 20 Apr 2016If it could run games at stable 60 @1080p then bring it on Agreed.
I highly doubt it's going to be able to run any games at 4k resolution at decent frame rate. I'm much more interested in being able to constantly float above 60 fps at 1080p.
It should be called PS4 Noble edition to distinguish it from average console peasants being forced to play at 30 fps in 2016.

Does it also get extra RAM? I doubt it can work with 4k screen (4 times higher resolution than that of Full HD) without extra RAM.

last year I was thinking that SONY should build PS4K as king media center, with no effect to the games strategy.
I'd like to see support for SACD, ATMOS and DTS:X support up to 13 speaker channel that works as AV processor.
And i will bay up to 3000$ for that
