Let's be clear it's not going to be water proo becusse that's not going to happen on a mainstream phone. It might be water resistant by the ingress protection (IP6X) standard which is different than water proof.
Apple is falling behind Android faster and faster which is fine with me. They haven't innovated something new in seemingly an eternity, so they need to go the way ofany other tech companies that have failed to adapt on the mobile front.
I personally think dual camera arrays lack the same level of quality that a single sensor would give you (looking at the G5, P9, M8 etc..) I don't care what Apple does because at this point they're following Android OEM's, yet they can't even do that well.

Tens of millions, in future most android phones going to come without 3.5 mm too.
Lightning and usb type-c are both capable to run HD audio, so its not rocket science to understand that 3.5 mm is going to be left behind as outdated tech.

I really hope that an Android OEM releases a flagship with Qualcomms ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that is under the display sometime this year. Fingers crossed that Google implement it in this year's Nexus phones. Because that would be a major selling point for Google if it did because Apples iPhone 7 looks like it will still be using a standalone fingerprint sensor in the home button.

Because of that fingerprint reader button which had that drama. I know waterprooof is not patented but still, its a dumb idea to patent fingerprint scanner in a button and acuse other company because using it...

I personally do not find my iPhone 6S better than my Nexus 6P.
I was on iPhone up till now only for Apple music. But since that also now is available on Android I have no more solid reason left to switch back to iPhone.
To make the next iPhone waterproof is a welcome step from them of course, though!

Iphone 7 wont have 3.5 mm headset jack - this is the main reason why i wont buy this iphone. Who want a phone without 3.5 mm headset jack?? Cmon, people have 200$ headphones!!! Who cares about 6.1 mm thick phone when it does not have 3.5 mm jack?!
