Besides WP, I would consider buying an iPhone, but Apple's hardware is way overpriced. I don't care many apps on WP are missing, I would probably not download most of them even if they were available. I don't have time on investigating functionality of all those apps. I just need a device for e-mail, basic web browsing, youtube, decent-quality camera, nice-looking interface (in my opinion, WP offers the best UI, but everyone's taste is different). Please stop saying Windows 10 Mobile is bad, maybe it is just not right for you. I don't like Android, but I don't use every possible opportunity in the comments to say that.

I don't know about you guys, but I'VE updated to 10 on Lumia 640... Pretty disappointed! Had to roll back to denim... Why much better and more fluid. 10 is kinda, what's the word, crap yeah!

When the words "ARM processor" were shown it's already a no-go for me at least.
It means no full desktop experience.
It means "fake" continuum feature that is claimed it's killer in the market.

Lumia 1020 on Nokia is such a wonderful phone with good algorithms setup for Photography...Now MS dose not even know how to manipulate that to WINDOWS 10 to get same quality...Thats the end with MS in photography perspective.
Btw Nokia should make a mistake o releasing Win10..rather choose back harmattan \meego platform or merge Jolla's sailfish OS as future OS..new upcoming pure Linux breed
For Apps just license with Alien Dalvik and u got andriod store for Sailfish OS
Love the Sailfish OS for its simplicity and fluid interface

God, I love Microsoft, but I don't believe a word they say; support Windows 10 Mobile "for many years"? Bullshit! Just like they supported windows mobile 7 and windows rt? Microsoft isn't in the business of making promises, they're in business of making money. This is going to blow up soon.

I only had used Windows Mobile 6.5 "big screen" phone HTC HD2 before.... Just recently saw and had a feel of a new 950XL, the too exposed buttons and its edges were quite sharp, why like that? Can't the buttons sink and hide a bit? The calendar size can't be adjusted to full width of screen, that used to be Windows mobile 6, 6.5 main feature, can set to display full width calendar events...
If MS really plans to launch Surface Phone, hope it comes with 5.7, 6 or 6.4"... retain the replaceable battery, external card slot, Type C,..

Windows Mobile has no customers because it has no apps. And has no apps because it has no customers. And because the competition has apps. And because the competition is otherwise just as capable leaving no reason in particular to want Windows. Great. Hopefully it stays that way.

Currently I use Lumia 830 and do not feel the need switch to a Microsoft-branded Lumia simply because they do not look as nice (exception Lumia 650) as Nokia Lumia phones. I think Microsoft clearly underestimated the impact of exterior phone design and the branding. Nokia used to make amazing-looking phones. Combined with windows mobile, these phones delivered overall great experience, that is the reason my choice is Nokia Lumia. I hope to see more Nokia-branded phones running Windows 10 Mobile in the future.

I hope Nokia will not only make android phones but also Windows 10 phones, it will be good for Microsoft and Windows 10 since the Nokia brand's dissapearance meant lower sales for Lumia's. The value of a brand is what's so important as well, I think Microsoft underestimated that.
People bought Nokia with Windows not because they were neccesarily looking for a Windows device, but for the Nokia brand itself. Nokia makes good phones, takes care of hardware and innovation, only Microsoft had to do is pay way more effort in Windows Phone and now Windows 10 mobile, that consumers would jump ship.
I am still happy with my Lumia 930 running Windows 10 mobile so I don't see the need to go for the Lumia 950 because of newer hardware. I'll just wait for the next Nokia to come with Windows 10.

Particularly when using sms and iMessage for texting on a Mac. Answering phone calls on the Mac is also seemless. And this functionality has been around on the iPhone/Mac for years. Just now is it being implemented on Windows.
Truth be told I prefer Android for the reasons you specified. But it doesn't offer (free) desktop calling/texting solutions that work as seamlessly as the iPhone does. Waiting patiently for that to happen.
