MediaTek is really starting to smash the rule of "speed/quality/price: pick any two"
Kinda like Broadcom in networking chips...

Won't be another year until this actually comes out. Samsung/Apple/Qualcomm will all have 10nm before Mediatek.

So . . making a color chart putting and your score over everyone else makes it fact??

MTK needs to stick to what it knows. Using averages and "projected scores" is laughable.

          Seriously MediaTek?!

Hope they fix their GPU department this time
And it's shaping up to be a great CPU with some new techs
I guess higher core count has benefited for the huge score

By that time frame A10 and SD 830 will be released which will give this a great fight

Flagship for 2017? Umm and they are comparing it to 2015 and 2016 processors? Whats the point? The competitors have way better processors for 2017 too compared to their 2016 and 2015 ones. On a side note my Snapdragon 810 powered phone does over 83k.

10nm chipsets would be great anyways but I can't see the x30 or the sd830 beating the A10 cause simply each year Apple puts a GPU that's out of this world in any iPhone , so CPU cores nowadays seems irrelevant after passing the 100,000 points mark.

This is weak compared to 820 if they are planning to relase it in 2017.

This should be great chipset. I hope power consumption is also good.

Never really considered Chinese phones but now I might have to unless Samsung can catch up.
