And what's the harm of making affordable chipsets with reasonably good performance? Yes, Qualcomm and Samsung will make faster chipsets by then, but don't go condemning a brand which delivers good chipsets on a budget.

MTK produce a lot of chips but are by no means the best. Exynos and Apple are specific to one manufacturer but are at the top in terms of performance. I'm not saying MTK is a bad manufacturer just that they will never be the go to chip for a flagship.

AnonD-120291, 27 Apr 2016do any of these synthetic benchmarks actually reflect real ... moreYou wont be able to run ps3 or ps4 games most likely the heavey ones like god of war uncharted etc...What android has its raw power and it has plently what it lacks is the OS which apple has it...Apple can outperform any of the android phones in grafic since it has more gpu and less cpu...and no there is not bottleneck yet...But if android gets optimzed like iOS and gets some more gpu cores...then it might otherwise apple needs more cores and ram and they should be able to do it...but I dont think any phone company wanna do that its an industry console gaming/pc gaming....no1 would buy ps4 if you can play the games on your phone think about

Mediatek is a cheap processor, don't expect anything stellar from a cheap processor, this is like intel vs amd.

do any of these synthetic benchmarks actually reflect real life situations, i have a samsung s7edge and its a beast and with every new samsung model they top out the charts until a new device arrives a few months later, my point is well done on getting these scores but with modern phones do we even see the difference between a device that already loads INSTANTLY and a newer phone with a so called faster processor? i wish we can focus on something else to develop now, the processors and ram are way more then we need for a few years anyhow, im betting if it were possible to run ps4 games on a phone that there would just about be enough power to do it not that you would ever want to of course but are the chipsets not just SERIOUS overkill for what they are meant to run??

They just bump the speed, since it will be stable.

MediaTek chipsets goes way ahead in benchmark scores. But it sometimes suck in real life performance.But still acceptable for the price they provide :)

Antutu benchmark doesn't reflect actual world performance,even so called midranger Snapdragon 650 performs better than Helio X 10..

S830 and new Exynos will probably go around 180-160k

MTK will never be a leader in chipsets, if for no other reason than the GPUs. This looks good as a projected score now, but actual scores are different and by 2017 this will be upper midrange at best. They're good at making affordable chips that can balance performance and price but cannot compete with Exynos, SD, Apple or even Kirin. We'll be seeing no flagship with this chip, just midrangers like Sony's M series or maybe Samsung's J series.

The scores on Antutu will increase on most phones, that will have Android N, and will easily surpass Apple's score performance.
