AMD wasn't doing that bad until they took the wrong decision of going CMT with Bulldozer in 2011 or so. Even now they are hanging around despite competing on two fronts; Intel in CPU and Nvidia for GPU.
Snapdragon can be compared to Intel, but comparing MediaTek which haven't done anything praise worthy, or at least I am not aware of any with AMD is just bad analogy.

Those that are knocking MediaTek processors are probably Samsung or Qualcomm employees or just jealous.
I have a device that uses the Helio X10 and with an Antutu at 60,000 it does the job just as well as a SD 808 or 810.

If ur point is correct, that se, 6s and s6+ score same, then apple really manipulated the benchmark software. Otherwise, why does pro 6 perform better than note 5 and mi 5 perform better than s7 in GPU? And please don't say it is because of "software optimisation of ios" . It is actually software manipulation of ios. Lol. It is just logical that on screen framerates should depend on resolution.
WWHEN RESOLUTION DEOSENT COUNT, IT IS CALLED " OFFSCREEN". EDUCATE YUORSELF, IT DOESN'T HURT.

They only top onscreen gpu, but in offscreen scores, which compares the GPUs, sd820 >exynos 8890 >a9.
Yes, I know that onscreen framerates are the ones which matter, but my point is just that Apple doesn't make best GPUs. Their crappy resolution is what makes their gpu test better.
AAnd yes, I can see the pixels in iPhone display, u may not, because apple said you.

In my opinion, kirin are worse than mediateks in GPU. For example, last year's kirin 935 in high end P8 was considerably worse than x10 in GPU department.

But you are correct in who will be using it, Samsung however have used Mediateks in a couple of smaller market phones.

Axel, 27 Apr 2016You wont be able to run ps3 or ps4 games most likely the he... moreyou missed the whole point tho mate, that was just a basic reference, of course you couldnt run ps4 games, but the idea was that the specs in these processors are way ahead of the phones built for them to run in, more like console processing power, point being is that there isnt much requirement for such power when most flagship phones are instant response already :-)

It's good to see them comment on making progress in the area of power efficiency. In addition to raw graphics power this has been a real weakness with MediaTek. Best of luck to you, more competition is better for us consumers!
