Even E... moreIts fast when there are maybe 1 or 2 light applications running in the background but its a smartphone with a capability to multitask and 256mb of RAM just wont cut it anymore. Nice camera or not but if the phone starts lagging after running 3-4 applications is no good in my book.
I've been using nokia phones since 1997 and starting to loose faith in their flagship phones. I am hoping that n900 will not be my last nokia phone.
I would probably buy one of those middle end ones and get myself the new soon to be released ipod 4

wow, Great Quailty.
I'm a nokie fan until iphone came out.
but with this kind of camera in their phones, I will swith back to nokia again.
just improve their software (symbian) and all will be again, the design of their phones are not that bad though.

impressive pictures for sure! very nice looking. if you want a camera phone i reckon this is shaping up to be it...
however. Damien Dinning is wrong. this digital zoom is NOT as good as optical zoom. there is no replacement for actual lenses.
have Nokia missed a trick as simple as the Magnetic Macro Lens that HTC have innovated with for their EVO 4g?

Really - i hope some NOKIA high managers read some from here to know that with such old-fashioned hardware isn't look good. Slow CPU and small amount of RAM. There is time - change them!
Release at least 512MB RAM. Why is so complicated to use 1GHz CPU?
Can someone of them explain that?
I'm NOKIA fan, but if N8 disappointed me again....

I hope that i wouldn't be as disappointed as with N97.
I'll wait till end of August and will see.

if i am not wrong, these samples are easily beating most of standalone cameras out there. nokia, release this phone soon, waiting to get one.

I do not understand Nokia. They are working on this phone for ever, then it will come out with 628Mhz proccesor and 256MB when all the new smartphone are 1Ghz and 512MB...and it has not came out yet but they are now working N9. Jesus!!
Please concentrate in one good phone..

OMG! its seriously impressive.. couldn't beleive mobile can take pictures to this detail. Its all looking like natural to eye. Omnia HD and Satio are nothing. Compare the GSMarena samples of these phones with N8 samples. N8 is a new camera champion! And software, UI of N8 is smooth and fast as well. Somebody just posted video preview of N8 in N8 forum. I was impressed. N8, I want you.
