      You call that proof.
I say its inconclusive, it might just as well be a optical illusion, created by the clearly uneven surface of that sphere.

even the optical illusion does not make it look like a DSLR.
Look how he is holding it. Its clearly a pretty thin device, with a pretty low weight.
If it wasnt the N8, which it probably is, it would not even be a high end compact digital camera, but a mid or low end judging by design, and the low weight and the thin design that you can see by his grip...

        So please give up.

Anonymous, 11 Jul 2010That would have been one of the one's which hung as soon as... moreactually iOS and Android as we know them today is not the future, they are the present.
The future is reserved for more powerfull OSes, like MeeGo!
The only way iOS or Android can become that powerfull is by a complete redesign, and then the only thing in common with todays Android and iOS would be the name. And since iOS also has been called iPhone OS, even Mac OSx for iphone, we can be pretty sure they would come up with a new name. And android, well they're already working on another os, the Chrome OS, not meant for phones. But they dont call Android for Chrome Mobile, and they dont call chrome OS for Android web OS, so they would likely also change the name.
And symbian? well its a smartphone OS for the big masses. A device running Symbian can be pretty inexpensive and be sold in development contries, where people only get prepaid phones. Like india, and that is a big market! And its a pretty good OS for lower end products in our markets as well. So Symbian is far from dead. I wouldnt be surprised if it was still around when at least Google introduces a new Mobile OS.

You need to wake the hell up. As of last quarter, about 38% is only what's left for Nokia and it's still rapidly dropping fast 'til now since Android and Apple has now been eating the market. Developers has moved on to them too.

Anonymous, 11 Jul 2010look at the size of the camera lens!!!!! Busted! This... morewhat you dont seem to understand, is that, that is inconclusive, since the picture is not clear enough to make out wheather that is a lens or just an optical illusion. Enlarge the phone beyond the resolution, and you dont see a full circle. And you do see some bluish square just about where the lens of the N8 would be. One of them is an optical illusion. And the sphere where its reflected is no where near a perfect mirror... look at the unpropotional fingers. And look att everything else mirrored in it, none of those things look like they do in real life. And the reflection is not clear enough to make any statements.
Doubt it all you want, but the things you present as evidence is clearly inconclusive! So you have no evidence!!!

And about Sony using Canon for PR shots, pelase do the study, they did not take pictures and passed them of as pictures made by the camera!
And it was a PR firm that did those shots, not Sony! Had Sony done them themselves, they would have used their own DSLRs, and still not the cameras pictured in hands of people in those photos.

I wonder how much mindgames Apple actually puts into convincing their users to forget all their common sense.

Iphone is piece of utter s*it, it's a fact that i the iDont outweighs the iDos with big margin.

Apple are so worried about people exposing and making fun of their new iSh*t/iFraud device that they actually pulled some strings and made the Futuruma Eyephone episode and clips from Youtube disappear. Now you can only see clips that episode by people who filmed it with cameras straight from their Tv's.

                      Hail Apple!

There were some people that were so sure it wasnt the N8.
And if you look at the picture, there is an optical illusion, (surely depending on the sphere in which you are refelcted), that make it look like there is a round object in the center of the device held in your hand.
But if you zoom, as I said, the object no longer apear to be round, but just a half circle. And you can also so something bluish, squarish at the place on the device where the N8 lens would be.
But clearly it would be very unwise for me tro try to convince people that it is an N8, as Im not the one who took the picture. And it would be very unwise of me to tell them, that is clearly an N8, when there is an optical illusion, that make it look like it was taken by a camera with a round zoom lens in the middle.
You cant convince those guys, but you can perhaps convince people who read those post, that its no clearly proved it was not taken by a N8, as their so called proof is inconclusive.

Anonymous, 11 Jul 2010"Can 1Ghz Apple or any other do this.. http://www.y... moreDude, learn something about phones, running apps in the background like the N900 and freezing them are two different things. A 50 dollar phone can do Apples freeze backgrounding with a calculator processor.

In Nokia N900 you can keep the apps going when you change. For example, you can have something downloading in one app and at the same time be busy with another app.

Iphone 4 cannot do that, Iphone freezes/pause the app you are using when you go to another, then when you go back it resumes. That's why you can't for example access the iPhone apps menu when you are in a call, cause it can't do 2 things at the same time.

Apple can call it whatever they like to pull a sheet over the users heads, rest of the world calls it backgrounding, something that was available back low end phones from 1999.

Apple has been eliminated at this stage, the reason is very simple, the functions of the mainstream that people no longer meet the needs of today's word, obsoletely outdated..I have an Android phone,it is a good mobile phone with operating system after SymbianOS..I have some friends said that iphone will make they feel very awkward (stupi d) and all of them are no longer continue to use the Apple iphone again and changed ¡nto the NOKIA Nseries smartphone..

Someone here is opinionated..They think they can arbitrarily guess another people have, but it is undeniable im no have iphone4 just because I heard they talk about their using experience an d problems..important that they are Apple fans, and now it seems they will no longer be a fan of the Apple iphone again..Now they are using the android phones such as HTC Legend or Nexus One, of course, some of them use of NOKIA Nseries smartphone..

Sometimes, people can choose their own stuff is really a very good experience..is not it??

People who is Jealousy??? Juz Go ahead..

The 'enemy' in the face of Apple has hired employees to fill forums with doubt, libel and praise of iphones. This is a known fact. This is how that company survives in the market. By sowing disinformation among the masses. Goebbels should be proud of his followers. Also of course there are a myriad fanboys trolling here too. So please, don't take everything that is said on these forums too seriously. With that in mind, I find it great that you took the time to disprove those claims. Just so long as you don't take all this trolling to heart.
