Leica announces M-D (Typ 262) with no LCD

Leica has announced another model in its M-series of digital rangefinder cameras. This one is a bit different though. The Leica M-D (Typ 262) does not feature an LCD on the back like most digital cameras, instead wanting the photographer to focus on the art of composition and framing without being distracted.

Sometimes I wonder how Leica manages not to go bankrupt with such niche products. I also wonder why this isn't a "limited edition" camera, as I can't believe they'll sell more than 1000 pieces to collectioners worldwide.

                  Back to the ancient? Next they might release a 'new' photographic film!

                  Because who wants to get distracted by sd card or cloud storage? They are too mainstream and overused.

                              It could use a hybrid viewfinder like on some Fujis. One of the best things about digital cameras over analog is that you can see the result.
