The Helio X10 has nothing to do with that. And proper optimization is the key to make even weak processors a powerful one. Sony and HTC are both known for good software optimization. Since this phone and the M5 almost have similar specs, this one should perform just as good as the M5 if not better or worse.

And Htc always been weak in camera .last year's 1.5 GB Samsung J7 performed way better than 3gb version of Htc desire 828...
So,don't comment crap,if you haven't used many smartphones..

Samsung is offering the j7(2016) for 310$ with Android OS, v5.1 (Lollipop), 16 GB, 2 GB RAM and a 5.5 inch 720 x 1280 pixels screen while htc is offering the 830 for 310$ with 5.5-inch 1080p display(not a 720p), 3 GB of RAM(not 2 GB), 32 GB of expandable storage (not 16 GB) and Android 6(not 5.1 ). So what you'r saying is nonsense.

They have yet to release the One X9 in more markets, and this?
This Desire 830 has slightly lower price but also less battery, downclocked CPU speed, on-screen buttons, perhaps no RAW support, but better front camera (Ultrapixel FTW).
Kinda confusing.
But it is a nice upgrade over Desire 828 what with 3GB of RAM and 32 GB storage.

It powered many mid range devices from last year like the Xperia M5. 3GB of RAM is also a nice touch from them, and not to mention the BoomSound stereo speakers as well. I bet you can't name any phone that offers as good as this phone at the same price range

launch in US at $299 and with HTC 10 being the second best android phone this year (so far), i bet it could help their sales a bit.

it's a kind of htc X9 with lower cpu/gpu and lower price.ok,but htc X9 is the best midrange in market clearly. X9 has the best midrange SoC + screen + battery + camera in back and front and 4K recording + boomsound + metal body and .... with 400euro.
I hope that htc releases D830 world wide with lower price about 250-280$ .
