Gon-j, 10 May 2016>90 year old man >hesitant to buy Galaxy s7 over upc... moreYoung boy, if you take car of your health don't smoke, don't drink and exercise everyday I can assure you that you will have my age and feel like a 20 years kid.

Unfortunately I can't send you my picture swimming but I do it daily.

So no one can tell me what to do???, buy the Galaxy 7 or wait for the new Galaxy Note! my friends in the dorms don't trust me that I can talk under the water as the Samsung guy told me when I went to Best Buy.

I trust more in someone from here instead of the people that just want to sell, by the way everything is new for me and I'm excited because is going to be my first cell phone ever, I save for 3 years to buy it

So can someone help me please?

      AnonD-404331, 07 May 2016P.S.. If you want a removable battery, say goodbye to IP68 ... moreGoodbye IP68!

I'll take removable battery over IP68 anyday!

BTW, Galaxy S5 has both removable battery and IP67 rating.
      so, it's not impossible.

        >hesitant to buy Galaxy s7 over upcoming Note 6
        >heard Note 6 is waterproof as well, can take pics underwater, assumed talking is possible while swimming.
        >Despite the age, can still swim
        >Swims 1 hour everyday.
        >Wants to confirm if Note 6 can be used to talk to clients under water.
        >Knows that with this(s7?note6) he can talk under the water for the rest of his life.
        >Friends will be happy to hear.

Sir, if I may, would give the benefit of a doubt. I could imagine you talking to your family or clients while swimming very possible, given your age your movements should be limited and with care. So its not really the 'swim while talking' most people would interpret.

However, talking literally underwater using a phone is very hard to do, let alone uttering a word clearly underwater.

In behalf of other's comments which you find rude and insulting, Sir, I apologize.

When I hear about that is waterproof and you can take pictures under the water, I assume I can talk to my family or my clients while I was swimming.
You need to respect a 90 years old man that everything for me is new, so I don't know if I wait for the next Galaxy of buy the new Galaxy 7, I know that with this one I can talk under the water for the rest of my life.
My friends will be happy to hear me.
I swim 1 hour a day, not to many people of my age is aloud to do it.

If Note 6 is waterproof, am I be able to speak under the water with my clients while I'm in vacation in the pool?

While I find it very hard to believe that they will downgrade the screen res which has been at qhd since at least the s6, possibly even the Note 4. You can't put anything past the mind-boggling decision making of Samsungs development team. With that being said one of the best features of galaxy devices has always been the amazingly vivid screen. If this is true and there will be an iPhone 6S-like downgrade to the Note 6 it won't affect me one bit. I love my S7 Edge and while some consider the edge a gimmick like the pressure sensitive iPhone screen, I know from using my backup s7 that I'm constantly looking for my edge to access my contacts and most used apps and I won't be getting the non edge version of the Note 6. Regardless of a so called downgraded version, with 4gb of RAM is still going to out-spec any iPhone made to date.

unless u can talk in water, then yes..... its like u 5 years old dude. When a phone is made waterproof its in order for the device to NOT be damaged in spills or accidental drops in water. Does not mean now you need to shower with your phone..... i mean really now. Yes a few pics by the pool u can record that cannon ball ur son is doing without having to worry about ur phone getting wet

You are exactly right. A removable battery is priceless. When traveling, I have had to use my spare battery alot. Sometimes, there's no time to plug in even for 20 mins.

There reason more people don't use the extra batteries is they are too cheap to buy them. Samsung should make a power user variant of the note with a plastic frame, removable battery, stylus, and FM Radio. A 5.7" to 6" screen with high resolution. The VR gear should have it's own screen.

Do not buy Samsung devices are their only purpose is to flood up the market and that's it. Their products have naturally lost the essence of a smartphone.

AnonD-179806, 06 May 2016I am already using a Galaxy S7 and i love samsung but still... moreWell, i really thought they improved their multitasking, though, you better hope AOSP roms for s7 :) because aosp rom + samsung phones is just OP.

Still using galaxy ace 2 from 2012. Currently official samsung update is 4.1.2 jelly bean, but i can easily flash 6.0.1 Stock rom, but it does not run very well, so the best and will be always best next few years is kitkat 4.4.4 which i am using currently, and i cant even see a slow down even using power save performance profile :)
