I really don't think most people know the actual value of a Removable battery. It's not just about giving your phone a quick boost of battery life, it's so much more.

No matter how big the capacity is, over time, all battery degrades to less than 50% of their original capacity and the main reason a phone dies is because the battery gives out. If you just swamp out the old battery with a new old, which are really cheap, then any phone can be revived.

And there's the thing about boot-looping and random freezes. It doesn't just affect the rooted users and happens at random(my note 4 gave enough proof). But when that happens, I just pull out the battery and put it back. But that happened to a phone with a non-removable battery, then I'd have to wait till the battery runs out of juice, which takes a long time if your phone has an AMOLED display and stuck in a mostly black screen. Think if that happened during an emergency.

I don't like the LG g5, but having a removable battery is what I like about that phone. I strongly hope that Samsung brings the feature back in the phones to come.

Interested but I reckon it will be priced similarly or a bit higher than an S7.

8GB?! SMDH this is getting way out of hand. Mobile devices don't use or need 6-8GB especially with its puny apps and basic functions compared to a full-blown desktop, this is so ridiculous that it's laughable.

P.S. Notable 'waterproof' digicams, even old phased out ones, have removable battery and removable SD (yeah, the larger one; not MicroSD) but they stay leakproof and waterproof as they could. How is a more highly technological smartphone built, designed, or made a so-so step-back in engineering? Is it not innovative enough for combining removable/replaceable compartments and IPxx proofing?

Xz8441, 07 May 2016Finally someone that gets it :) As technology progresses... more$300 or less for this Note 6 'Lite' then if it ever sprout to existence. Anything more is a waste of money. And before anyone counterpoints me with the S820 SoC being the latest, the flagship and everything nice, by the time this arrives, the Note 6's S823 would have also and did not Xiaomi just release an S820 near the $300 mark (still considered as a flagship)? We could call Samsung competitive if it does so price this so called 'Lite' is priced aggressively below $300 (which I am doubtful of)

Samsung we are going to forgive you for the SGNote 5 crappy phone.

Please, We need 6Gb Ram or higher, internal memory of 128Gb or higher (Axon Lux has a 128gb internal a year ago) AND AN external memory CARD SLOT!!!(a Red Flag).

I hope the CPU rumor is true.
Not asking to much, but I wish to have a removable battery back and to enjoy ZeroLemon.

Any one thinks the phone should not have a high specs, go and buy an iPhone.

Thankfully, their are many companies trying to attract heavy users lately, we could turn to, if Samsung is going to screw the Note series again.

                                  AnonD-404331, 07 May 2016Im wondering if a Note with 4GB of ram, SD820, 1080P & ... moreFinally someone that gets it :)

As technology progresses, we shouldn't applaud OEMs for giving lower quality parts and asking for the same / more money than other OEMs.

Like in this case, manufacturers still using 1080p screens and asking for TOP Premium price shouldn't be applauded but chastised instead. They're saving their own cost while trying to maximize their own profits.

Why pay more for lower end stuffs I wonder? Even though a person may argue that he does not need QHD, however it makes no sense he's paying the same/more money for something inferior (1080p) where others already offer better (QHD) for same/less money.

He can always buy the better (QHD) screen and use means (software) to re-tune it to his daily needs (1080p). And when one fine day, he actually needs QHD, he'll have it at his disposal instead of being stuck at the inferior 1080p due to hardware limitation.
