I didnt tell HTC was a BMW. That was just an example. My point was you cant get a high end car at the price of a low end. Don't tell me you didnt understand my example. Dont take it as a direct comparison.

Anonymous, 09 May 2016HTC 10 is in no way a BMW. It is more a Ford limited edition. So what is the BMW in Android? Dont tell me its Huawei (xD)
Anyway i just used it as a example. Not a real life comparison. You anyway got my point

Having owned an HTC One (M7) I have an easy solution for HTC to make this a winner, remove the bloat-ware, it was the biggest issue with the phone, its all rubbish anyway and only slows down what should be a lightning quick phone.

Anonymous, 09 May 2016Just imagine if iPhone's were around for 35k. Just imagine ... moreBMW has a pretty good name, I don't think it's the same with the HTC and also their mid tier phones have not been recieved pretty well in the past also. HTC is not in profits to price the HTC 10 at par with other flagships. It has to do something more to attract the market. That's what I'm saying. The profits might be less but they'll establish themselves in the market.I'm talking about the Indian market.

These are flagship phones. They can never be released for 35k. If they were, then midrange phones wouldn't exist.
HTC 10 like the other flagships is a premium top of the range device. Selling it for 35k would be a loss.
You cant get a BMW 3 series for the price of a Corolla....
I think you are asking too much. But there are chances they release a cheaper version of 10. Like after they released M9, they released E9, E9+, etc.

Ca... moreIf they cut their profit margins and concentrate more on creating a positive image for themselves,in the Indian market where budget friendly phones are the latest trend, that'll be a good decision for them in the following years. Just imagine what kind of impact will the HTC 10 create if it's priced at 35K. I agree the profit margins might not be huge, but they'll create a name for themselves right.

Of course with 1k+ euro headphones you will hear the difference. I used some that are half the price, still better than anything which is mass produced and did not hear differences, tried different genres of complex music, different formats. If I plug them in a Galaxy S7 or LG or iPhone I already see distortions there, lower volume, worse dynamic range and so on. Point is, there is too much fuss about this particular model when actually the HTC phones have always had really really good audio quality.

I liked this device last weeks until I actually saw it in person at shop 2 days ago. Nice design, nice unit, mediocre screen which totally changed my overall opinion. I mean, it's okay for the eyes that it has warmer color tint but it was exaggerated on this phone. Also compared headphone audio output with M9 one: nothing too different, same sound signature but at a bit lower volume with underpowered mid-range sounds but clean. I decided to get an AMOLED-based phone next time as it provides much more flexibility to be used outside on sunny day or night without making your eyes hurt.

Since I wrote that I did two benchmarks and one was 117591 and the one before was 135809. . No clue why there are such big swings in the figures as the phone was hardly used in between. I love the phone, don't get me wrong but it had been touted as the most powerful phone available and yet it ranks 7th on the Antutu chart. I bought it because I wanted the fastest and most cutting edge and now it's already not that. It ranks behind LG G5, S7 Edge and LeEcco Max 2 already! But it is beautiful and it is fast and I love it!!
