People keep bringing up "pricing like Apple". Iphones aren't worth the price which you pay, the 6s wasn't that decent a handset and i think the HTC10 is good on paper and should do pretty well.

If you compare it with the s7 then it has better audio and a metal back. But it has worse battery, display, camera, and is slower according to speed tests. And it lacks the features of the s7 like ip68 and Samsung Pay.
You'd have to really depend on audio or really hate glass back to get this phone. But most people can't even tell the difference with audio, and having a metal back doesn't magically mean your phone is drop-proof or anything.
If the battery life was better then it would've been OK.

Amidst the stiff competitions in market today...the specs of almost all flagships seemed to common in one way or the other, the only point that can separate them is the price...so, whoever wants to get the edge are those whose price is very much reasonable for the buying public especially the based consumers not the top elite of our society. HTC wake up!!!

Oh really??? 7 out of 10 are willing to get this? Seriously here in southern Asia HTC is like just a typical brand like a cheap china brands... When you buy it with that "HTC" logo, people might think you are just using a cheap china phones or something like that, no matter how they dressed it or expensive it is... HTC branding here is sooo bad!!! If their flagship is pricing as Samsung S7 they must not better resist here. Even a low-end Samsung phones are status symbol like the iphone or blackberry that used to be. HTC must spend first on advertising then start pricing your devices as you wish just like Apple and Samsung.

Of course lots of those willing to have the phone may not buy if they find the price too expensive! The price should be very reasonable at this stage. Especially while there are lots of other competitors in the market.

Played around with the htc 10 at the shops, it bothered my how the home button is not in the center from top to bottom. It is also very sensitive, meaning just one slight touch of the home button it will go back to main screen or get out of apps. It's not like samsung or apple where you hold down the home button.
This phone will not sell much I guarantee.

yep will fail. It is HTC but priced as apple. Too bad they still keeping f them self. With the right pricing they could do better now.

Mark my words, this phone is dead long before they even released it, in comparison to iPhone 6S & Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge...
HTC just never learned it's lesson...
I don't want them to fail honestly, but they did.

I'm a tech person too, but I wouldn't buy the 10.
Besides SD820, I need 2 features; SD card and waterproof.
The 10 lacks waterproofing which to me is essential, specially when they ask so much for it. In our days it should be compulsory for any device above 400 euro.
I dont care for stereo speakers, radio, IR blaster, QHD, fingerprint scanning..

We tech nerds are just niche group of people
And our opinions doesn't at all reflect market conditions
Average customer here in my country thinks HTC is dead and not a reliable company with bad after sales service
Even sellers don't recommend HTC and give options of other OEMs instead..
I don't want HTC to eliminate from smartphone business
Coz they manufacture some great Mobiles
