And to be fair, exynos 7870 is an awesome processor and will suit all your needs. You can play even Nova 3 smoothly on this.

In 2013, Samsung released Note 3 with SD 800. In 2016, Samsung has released J5 with an inferior chipset. Does that tell anything? Nothing really, because we are comparing Apples (no, not the ifruit, I am talking about the real fruit) to Oranges.
