"GPU is part of the Adreno 5 series, a 510 to be exact. It's miles ahead of the Adreno 405 that's used in lower-end Snapdragon 6-series chipsets. It even stacks up well against the Adreno 430 in the S810 chipset."
"Stacks up", means it's not better, but can compete to some extent. Benchmark however shows that it's not quite on pair with 810 at least in graphics department.

And I bet none of android phones you liked has same soc as you stated to avoid trouble. Isn't it? Although it has 2xx soc it still smooth and fluid. That's for sure. Between, I always like high end phones with exceptional camera and i would definitely spend my precious money on them. Last but not least, I really not bother about mid range and lower range phones but Sony pricing on their X lines was quite unique and thus attracts me to see what people gonna say about this phone. :)

Where is the AnTuTu & Quadrant Score man? BTW, my Redmi Note 3 got the same processor and I get close to 75000 on AnTuTu. Please add AnTuTu & Quadrant benchmark.

While its not a terrible chipset, its clearly optimized for decent mid rangers. I mean sub 300 euro price. Sony is insane with what they're doing with their smartphone business, and its completely random X and below mediocre series. Thats not a way how to introduce new series, after decent Z series.

Fuh good try sony. Agreed with th... moreI'm not defending Sony pricing in fact I also think it's to big for midrange device but take a look how others priced same chipset and you will see there is not much difference , for example Samsung A9 with lower specs is more expensive than Xperia X ....
and what about Microsoft Lumia you like ? lumia 650 price is the joke of the year with SD212 LOL

Fuh good try sony. Agreed with the words best avoided for mid range smartphone of this year or may be next 100 years.
I'm seriously in doubt, what sony was thinking while quoting this price. Who's suggested this price should be fired. It's so ridiculous and it cost same like an iphone which android can't compete in term of os optimization and smoothness. Big joke of this year sony. Good try then.

510 dosen't even get close to 430 in Z5 look at the bencmark charts !
