If what steve job say is true, they are the real copycat. They copy Nokia, HTC, Samsung and moto to have a faulty antenna build into their phone. hahaha. fail.

I believe in US the signal reception is better than most countries. Now if the iphone is having issues in USA what if it lands in India, South Africa what will the outcome be? The issue is DROPPED CALLS, not DROPPED BARS, my Nokia 2630 has a spot where Nokia says "avoid touching this spot to stop inteference with antenna" and i have touched the place during calls, it drops bars but rarely calls. For Steve Jobs to swipe other manufacturers was stooping lowest, I do not understand why Jobs has to give account for this hardware defect. Maybe 90% of people who own iphone buy it as a status symbol which is not affected by dropped calls. Maybe the ones who are complaining had bought it thinking it is good for making calls too, they need to be refunded and look elsewhere. Otherwise Apple fans want the cool of having it, not the features in it.

I sell phones mate and as silly as alot of iphone users are, they are not idiots. Its mostly Iphone user who petitioned apple to fix it. No user no matter what brand wants to buy a dudd product. Lastly trying to belittle other phone companies is a stupid tactic because they all have a proven track record with hundreds of phones each. Apple only has 4 sub-par phones that are well marketed. As you saw when the marketing goes, they have nothing else.

i dont get you people... iPhone is a nice device but its not the ONLY best phone out there! Many of you iPhone fans down talk other phone companies & havent even owned or held any other devices but iPhone lol and thats sad. besiddes there are Different phones for different folks so its all about what the individual wants & better suits him or her. Whats sad too is that many people, not all, are follow fashion so instead of trying out, testing, or reading helpful reviews for themselves they follow to go & buy what the majority of people get... not hating on apple but just cause they get plenty devices sold does that mean they are the best ever? Wake up folks, iPhone 4 is a great device but not the only best... i think exploring other devices is good, but for real though do you know how much unlocked devices i can buy with just the price of the iPhone & i had be very well satisfied with just one for a lower prize?

People saying that its the non-iPhone folks who made this such a deal but you are wrong... all this nonsense about reception was all complained by iPhone fans thats why he offering free cases... non-iPhone users and/or haters as you call them are too few to cause such a big deal of it... so its the iPhone fanboys lol now they must feel sorry that it has been made such a big deal now... even steve felt it so much that he had to involve other phone manufacturers lol, fix your problem steve...

FACEPALM! and to everybody giving comments, a phone issue is still an issue. no matter how "small" .55% is. and the media has got nothing to do with this. the media didnt made iphone4's external antennae design so they can tell everyone that apple failed, did they? if your saying that the media "blew things out of proportion" then you should still blame steven for not fixing this earlier (months of beta testing? anyone?) before it got out of hand, or even, before it got into our hands atleast. until jobs fixes his ego (telling users how to hold thier phone and dragging htc, nokia, and samsung's feet to the grave is definitely silly, unprofessional and stupid) and his revolutionary product, im not buying a good looking ipodtouch with a 5mp camera. ill just use my ipodtouch 3g. dont get me wrong, i've held a 3g and bought it for my mum and ipod touch for myself cause it really is a good device.

I am not surprise by the iPhone users on their response in regards to the antenna concern. Typical Apple fan...there is never anything wrong with Apple products. Therefore, it is time for iPhone followers to realize that iPhone is no longer the foresight or benchmark for smartphones manufacturers. Thank you Google for Android!!!

hell no, its thier job to tell the public what happening..and there are agencies that balances this all..you think if the media is "hyping" this stories they ill get away with it?? no..
the reason why the media has not taken a step back on this issues is that even the "mediators" knows the media has a job to do and they are doing a great job..

Just read the comments on here. There are more non-ip4 people complaining about the reception issue than actual ip4 users. What does that tell you? And just like what Steve said, only .55% ip4 users have actually complained about it. The return rate is also significantly low.
The media should be ashamed of themselves blowing a small issue out of proportion just to get a high ads revenue. Very irresponsible.
Just wait till Apple figures out a way to remedy this attenuation issue. External antenna will be the way to go. It saves hardware space and gives a phone a sleeker design, and most important of all, it improves reception. Too bad only Apple can design phones with external antennas. The rest cannot since they already mocked ip4's design, so they have no choice but to cramp thwir antennas inside their phones, hahahahaha.
