If you like paying $200 extra for a Chinese phone that is originally priced at $300, more power to you I guess. For me, I'll save the $200.

$500 for a xiaomi? That defeats the point of buying a Xiaomi. Plus, having an import unit means no support nor warranty. Not worth it imo. $300 max for this.

you always pay a premium when pre-ordering Chinese devices, it's better to wait after the device is launched and you will get it for a lot less.
also be careful that those websites install there own roms (with adware) so try to get from a place that sell a unopened box, these vendors roms will break the OTA updates so you'll be stuck in an old OS
