AnonD-523662, 18 May 2016I still have samsung galaxy S first gen., the FIRST AMOLED ... moreme too pal. I've even got a fully working amoled samsung jet, still as new.
Can you see the beggings of apple fabricated hype starting in this story..check out.." apple...OVERTAKE.....SAMSUNG.." this inbread nonsense has kept apple where they are in the world. Here is the real story " apple sniping at Samsungs samoled is no longer working , as many of apples former customers refuse to be WORDED into, a loyalty of retaining inferior oudated technology as a tribute to apples branding techniques. In a shrewd move apple have not only acknowledged Samsung overwhelmingly superior screen manufacturing and technology, but, have still moved in such a way as to attempt to minimise Samsung in public opinion, by giving orders to lg as well , knowing full well that internet threads are full of mockery at apples vehement denial of Samsungs long term samoled screen technology advantages, only to now use them. So as millions are flocking to Samsung from apple , how now to adopt Samsung technology without lifting Samsung even higher in public perception,
obviously apple are going with the ploy of seeming to make Samsung seem ONE of MANY , but remember the ploy of the internet spueing at Samsungs use of sony camera's + its own Isocell ones, well then its only fitting that apple should run the same thread gauntlet of post asserting the "LOTTERY" of ..WILL YOUR PHONE CONTAIN THE SUPERIORLY INDUSTRY WIDE ACKNOWLEDGED SAMSUNG SCREEN OR AN INFERIOR LG OR EVEN..JOHNY WHO ?" Many may simply go for the safety and assurety of buying a Samsung phone simply from Samsung, and not taking the chance of buying an apple , "WHO KNOWS WHAT" in the hope of getting samsungs best.

I still have samsung galaxy S first gen., the FIRST AMOLED since september 2010 and works fine like in the first day, no burn in, no problems in 6 years of very hard work. I have changed 2 batteries until now. The burn in process was also seen at crt tube old monitors used for cctv who displayed the same image for surveillence for 10 years.

Yes can see the situation of iSheeps....
Frist of all don't get so much excited because Samsung will not supply the current generation AMOLED panel to APPLE. SAMSUNG will supply the previous generation panel which Samsung has used in it's previous flagships.
Secondly. Its for iSheeps whose ASS is on fire and now they are trying to get rid of this fire by giving foolish excuses of SCREEN BURNs. Now these are the things of past. Today the SAMMSUNG AMOLED panels on S7 and S7 edge are the best screen ever tested on a smartphone...

                  http://www.displaymate.com/Galaxy_S7_ShootOut_1.htm

This is not happening first time it happens always when Samsung release its flagship because Samsung is in bad habit of improving every time.
Third... Until 2017 end Samsung will enter in new era of foldable tablet/smartphone. So the ordinary panels will have less importance for Samsung flagships.
Don’t get amazed when Samsung will stop the APPLE order due to high demand of it’s J or O series.

Apple buy the display from Samsung and "AMOLED" is a patent by Samsung, why Apple is going to sue them for? Lol. The lawsuit that is on going is with Samsung itself, the AMOLED IS under Samsung Display which is another entity from Samsung as a whole so its two different thing. Get your fact rights before commenting. Nothing wrong business with other companies, you buy from me, I earn money and prolix, why not.

OLED and AMOLED display is the future of display be it you like it or not, LCD will be slowly phrasing out in the coming 20 years for sure with resolution at minimum 2K, 1080P is the thing of yesterday if you know that.

Once you go AMOLED p, you will never so back, holding to both an iPhone 6s Plus and S6 Edge, I always admire its 2K AMOLED display and wireless charging capabilities.

Be it RGB or Pentile matrix, our naked eyes cannot even see the difference at 2K with normal usage unless you do a microscopic test (yes, you will see the difference in that condition) so don't think too much and follow what other people said.

The best experience is use it yourself, don't rely on other people comments, hands on experience is the best, previous phones I have: Note Edge, Note 3, Note 2, Note 1, Galaxy S1, S2, S3, S5, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy A3) Currently iPhone 6s Plus is my daily driver and S6 edge is backup phone. So many years with AMOLED since 2010 I don't see any burn-in in day to day usage!
