Nokia can very well work with this new company. The brand is strong and a lot of people will want to shift from samsung and others becasu they have had very good experiences with earlier Noki phones. The ide that a small group in Finland do the design and marketing side while Foxconn with all the tools to set up a productline fast is an interesting concept. It will be a true Nokia with limitless resources to help the project. 10 dollar licence fee makes a billion dollar When 100 million phoen are sold Wich could happen sooner rather than later. I.e. within a year or so.. get ready for a flash sale on the new Nokia top model with a 41 mp camera that nochk the socks out of the competition.

I love Nokia HARDWARE. Only thing it got held back was software especially with Windows Phone during the last five years. I don't think Nokia will return to former glory just like I don't see Motorola and Sony. Wishful thinking from nostalgic diehard fans won't bring them back to prominence. Nothing last forever. Apple and Samsung will go through it again too.

But if Nokia create a nice niche for themselves, I will be content. I hope my next Android phone will come from Nokia because they are excellent with call quality, signal strength, camera, speaker, and battery life. In fact, Nokia and LG are the two remaining holdouts that offer removable battery in their phones. Companies that stick to removable batteries and sd slot are brands I want to continue to support.

Nokia would do well to metastasize ASAP if they want to have any smidgen of hope of hindering the Samsung leviathan.

                Good! Welcome back!

It will however take at least a decade to top Samsung, I mean if Nokia is aiming that high anyway. Practically they shouldn't, as they are joining the Android race really really late and Samsung is leaps and bounds ahead of anything existing even, so yeah...

But it's a sigh of relief for those well built phones again.

The problem I face here is that I like windows mobile 10 and I like Nokia. I don't like android so much.

NOKiAbitch, 18 May 2016Nokia has been with Microsoft for as far as you can remembe... moreHighly unlikely that Nokia will produce and/or brand a smartphone with Windows Phone/Mobile OS again. WP/WM is a dead OS and MS will figure this out eventually once their remaining mobile market share bottoms out.

Anonymous, 18 May 2016Don't think so Nokia can compete with Apple and Samsung mig... moreNot everyone needs the performance (in fact very few people use even 10% of their phone potential), but a lot of people want stable OS, long battery life, good signal quality and clear speech transmission, this is what Nokia has always been offering

It's a great time for Nokia to come back. Midrange internal components such as SD652 and there replacements will be so powerful, the devices will make iPhones seem overpriced and unnecessary. By 2020, Apple will go bust!
